@ZephyrismVG if you shoot long bursts, the barrel can overheat and get damaged. if it's made out of metal, it either burn's or melts, both turning the weapon useless. with tacomes hardened paper it would propably release poisonus fumes.

because of this, its necessary to change the barrel during longer use. (it's also possible to change the calibre by changing the barrel, but i don't know wether thats possible on an mg42.

@charivari100 The problem is not the long bursts. If you keep sending short bursts the friction on the barrel is enough to heat it up during a battle. Metal doesn't burn. Wooden furniture on your gun can, like you see on that AK video.

Heat causes barrel warping and that is already bad. You can probably destroy your own barrel before it "melts".

Hey Tacome just a suggestion there is a product out that we use for automotive its called Loctite 401 or Loctite 406 they are automotive adhesives which make superglue look weak only problem is they are heat activated so you will need to store it in a fridge and it sets in about 10 seconds after having heat put into it
