Thank you SO MUCH for posting this! I have been trying to explain these clips to my friends and searching for them online for about 10 years. No one ever knew what I was talking about! I'm 32 years old, so obviously they made a big impression on me to stick with me all these years. When I heard Glass for what I *thought* was the first time, I wondered if he'd done this music, but I was never sure until now.
I thought I could enjoy Kaliedoscope, even though I know who Philip Glass is, however my traumatic childhood memories are too great. This video is too scary for me and will continue to do so as long as I shall live.
The two parts that really stuck with me from childhood were 1) right after the circle is completed and the radius flies off to become a chord, and 2) the change in sound and tempo as soon as the first petal is being drawn. These things used to make me feel uncomfortable, because they were really potent, but I didn't understand how.
Thumbs up if the SCP Foundation sent you here to show you what a Safe-class memetic hazard looks like.
