I was coming home on leave from Afghanistan and we landed in Qatar instead of Kuwait and the pilots were walking away from the C17 while all of us were left standing in the tarmac and the cargo was being unloaded. They were pissed when someone called them back to take us to Kuwait.
This song makes me remember a Friday on Swing Shift...Where all the pilots came back 'code 3' just so they could be at their squad BBQ on time. While we worked till 3 AM Saturday morning to recreate problems that weren't there. =(

@mgdmilitia1 Well you must have been around the Marine ROTC or something. I can recall working 2 days straight getting combat aircraft fixed to support ground movements. No breaks no food no sleep. we've patched aircraft with what ever we had that would work coke cans, paint cans stripped fiberglass off of blades that were mostly destroyed and re used it to make patches. All aircrews work their asses off no matter what service your in.
When we realize that our government uses us as meat, for the sake of their profit by telling us what we are fighting for the security of their country?
Hopefully, when our government told us to go and kill each other, we just lay down their arms and disperse in their homes, to their families.

I know what it's like to be a Crew Chief and I've loved almost every minute of it, but I continued to push because leaving the ground has always been my dream.

Go for it flying is a lot of fun! Just dont be a cocky jerk to your maintenance crew. They are the ones that fix your airplane I wouldn't mess with them. Plus chances are they've been serving longer than you so they deserve some respect also. And that's a two-way street man. Stay in school, get good grades, and go to college. Do some ROTC also. @USAF1123 ur a crew chief in the af..... the civilian contractors in my squadron do more work than you do. hell my marine load masters probably do more work than you. im a 53 crew chief and i bust my ass just as hard as any grunt and work longer than any one else. have u ever gone a full 18 hrs with out chow and never realized u were hungery because u were so busy making sure that a bird was gunna be up and running the next day? no u take 45 min- 1hr chow breaks and then come back to the job.

Without the Air Force, everyone's jobs on the ground would be much harder, and without the air force, we wouldn't have won as much wars or battles. Pilots have to go to get their bachelors degree, and they have to be able to withstand massive G forces. So, think of that. Marines don't require College, nor does the Army or the Navy. I'm not saying all jobs in the AF require college btw.

@53whirlybird in planes and hilos any hydraulic leak can result in catastrophe.. as in a crash cuz if i lose ailerons or elevators you can forget about it ill try but i dont think it'll work ill get back to you on how well that new ejection seat works

Go for it flying is a lot of fun! Just dont be a cocky jerk to your maintenance crew. They are the ones that fix your airplane I wouldn't mess with them. Plus chances are they've been serving longer than you so they deserve some respect also. And that's a two-way street man. Stay in school, get good grades, and go to college. Do some ROTC also. But good luck none the less

I'm a fan of jet vid's, but for the viewers it works better with pumping baselines not sweaty non funny lame rock songs, could you stick a hard house tune on one of your vid's ? Also could you tell fellow vid making pilots that very low flying makes for a more exciting video because it really shows the speed that you guys are doing and there seems to be a shortage of that kind of video, respect ! I know the songs a joke, it just spoils the vid.

they dont even "step" in the winter, get a ride in the van..look at the forms, walk around the jet, give ya the IFOF code and strap in..half the time they want you to carry the bag up the ladder! meanwhile----we are turning 12 turn 10s, in MOP 3 or 4 and not getting lunch on the 12 hour swings...but for some reason I'm loving it.

@MLawrence81 And the 14 days of 12's we just worked because a pilot decided to smash our jet into the ground at 600ft/min and not tell the FCC so it flew again and caused $30,000 worth of damage to the landing gear alone...not to mention everything else...yeah. @USAF1123 ur a crew chief in the af..... the civilian contractors in my squadron do more work than you do. hell my marine load masters probably do more work than you. im a 53 crew chief and i bust my ass just as hard as any grunt and work longer than any one else. have u ever gone a full 18 hrs with out chow and never realized u were hungery because u were so busy making sure that a bird was gunna be up and running the next day? no u take 45 min- 1hr chow breaks and then come back to the job.

I think it's funny to see in the comments everyone bashing the pilots. I'm not a pilot, I'm an AT in the Navy. Bottom line is we're all on the same team. Without us, they can't fly, without them, we don't have a job. Video is funny, but don't take it as a bash, I just take it as someone trying to have a few laughs in good fun.

You all are assholes. Seriously. Pilots serve our country just as much as the Army, Marines and the Navy. Without the Air Force, everyone's jobs on the ground would be much harder, and without the air force, we wouldn't have won as much wars or battles. Pilots have to go to get their bachelors degree, and they have to be able to withstand massive G forces. So, think of that. Marines don't require College, nor does the Army or the Navy. I'm not saying all jobs in the AF require college btw.

I loaded the bombs on them. A helluva lot more fun than fixing them! It's when the pilots, during their little pre-flight walks, want to touch the bombs and pull on lanyards and clips that irritated me. Just press the button in the cockpit. DON'T TOUCH THE BOMBS!
