@tmilatos - there are a bunch of those. you can stack up to 15ish companions + thralls + atronachs, not including fun with the ritual stone.

@theburin - well there is a two-follower trick that i'm going to post soon, but for the others it is the same deal as barbas. start a quest where someone follows you (key being they follow you, not lead you into battle). run off and do other things without completing the quest. they use their own AI and can't really be upgraded.

@tmilatos - some followers have quests that you can intentionally not complete to always have an indicator for their position. otherwise, two ways. 1. go near the area you lost them and keep using 'wait' one hour at a time until they pop up at your position. 2. get married. they always show up to your wedding.

You can* improve the Pickaxe, but only after it's been enchanted, and you need the smithing perk for improving enchanted weapons. I could be wrong, but I know that where the Notched Pickaxe is concerned, it works.

j'zargo has the most health, but his combat ai is bugged and thus, he is only good as a meat shield.

housecarls (any) are the best all-around followers because at level 50, they have high health & max armor/weap skill

cicero & aela are the only two with high sneak, and cicero beats out aela (most people can't stand him)

janessa has the most potential damage output.

mjoll cant die and cant shut up

illia makes the best mage, but she is incredibly bugged

@mistermoogle - If you dismiss Illia she cannot be recruited again. She also goes away during any quests that a follower cannot accompany you on, so you'll inevitably lose her with no way of getting her back.

Cicero should be the highest damage follower except there are certain weapons he flat out refuses to dual-wield. Janessa has no restrictions that I am aware of, but I still haven't tested everything.

J'zargo I'll be covering in the next video, keep an eye out.

@mistermoogle - she has near-equal casting skill to marcurio, who a lot of people love, except for one thing: conjuration. on top of having 100 destruction & restoration for self-healing, it makes a huge difference.

the issue with mage ai is that most won't use a summon atronach staff until they run out of magicka. melee are fine. mages need conjuration skill to offset the staff problem and she is the most well-rounded in all schools.

@Waantedx - hey there. if this series takes off, i will get around to it. unfortunately, most people choose the black star because it is so much more useful of an item, so this follower will not be as high up on the list to cover. i will do it though.

@pms00 WHY is the Black Star better anyway? Whenever I Enchant anything, I tend to get the same percentages on an item regardless of whether I use the Black Soul Gems or the Grand Soul Gems.

@redheaddavey black soul gems are grand but black sould gems are more expensive so black star is simply the best option due to prices and there is a bug which let it trap white souls too essentially making it a black and partially white grand soul gem (black souls are easy to come by but the soul gems are rareer)

@redheaddavey - voipification summarized it well, but the bug about white souls aside, you can fill the black star in your normal questing, whereas the white star requires work sometimes. have to go visit a giant camp or similar to fill it up. the black star you run into a few bandits and you can recharge all of your weapons, staves, and keep one for enchanting. its easy mode for soul gems.
