@TheSaiyanEmperor on a speedrun this big, he maybe saved the game several times and maybe even had a break but cut those scenes out (wich is no problem because they are not part of the actual speedrun). thats were it could've happened that the emulator has reset the settings for some reason.

@red13emerald ...no, first of all this run was done on console, played of a GameBoy Player, and second of all this is a Single Segment run, it was done in one playthrough with no breaks. The animations -always- come back on the final fight, the settings are automatically changed to back on when you engage in that fight <_<

@crazy5100 In 1st gen fissure always hits when you are faster than the enemy, that's a reason why he used so many X-Speeds.

@SuperNeedles Correction, Fissure can only hit if you are faster, which is why I use X Speeds, but that still leaves it at 30%, it will only always hit after I use an X Accuracy.

he had me until he had to go thru the cinnabar island gym...all the questions except one he answered wrong and still was let through...either a glitch or just cheating...

the one that caught my eyes was "are thunder moves effective against ground type pokemon", he answered yes, and still got it right...

Something doesn't seem right about this. Up until Lance, the animation for the moves was off. But then, while you're beating Gary, the moves animation comes back to life without you changing the option for it. What happened?
