I have 4 metal pins from chuck e cheese's pizza time theatre from 1980. I can't find them anywhere online. Anyone think they'd be worth anything? I got to this video in my search for the value.
@TastyPepperoniPizza Actually, CEC used to be a place for all ages, children, teens, even adults went there! You are so uninformed, yet you think you know everything.
Not sure if you mean characters like Dolli Dimples, The King, and the Beagles, or the 5 main characters. Right now the 5 main characters are still present in the showtapes, and even in artwork. Most locations now have a one robot show called Studio C which features JUST Chuck. However, the other characters still interact with Chuck via "Satellite". LOL...
my sister, when she was younger she used to hold her pee because she didnt want to use the bathroom because she thought the scary duck girl was going to pop out =D
it has changed since then and not for the better. did you see how the kids behaved? they are not like that now. did you notice that helen was not in that group? i heard that there were many players at chuck e cheese before they called it chuck e cheese. i don't know their names but i do know they are not around anymore. i heard there is a anamatronic museum maybe thay are there.
pizza time players were the best !!does anybody remember the little door they had for children to walk in maybe it was just here in texas? too bad chuck e cheese aint as good as the way it was in the 80s and early 90s kids dont know how fun it used to be just to go to chuck e cheese
I use to go here in the 90s as a kid. I was the kid who would never get tickets or prizes. Thats because I would just play all the video game cabinets. I wonder if they still have the Simpsons arcade game. That one was a favourite!
The scariest thing in Chukee Cheese was those robot characters. hahaha
I wish they had "The King" at the restaurant i use to go to. Cant go wrong with Elvis music.
Cant believe how long its been around for! Wow the 80s!!
I remember going to Chuck E. Cheese's back then when I was a kid ? I remember going to Levittown, NY since I was 7 years old. Its near Long Island, New York. In the Nassau County, where my Dad's family live ?
I remember Dolly Dimples, but at the time I didn't remember her name...I was 5 then, lol. I do remember King becoming King Cat, a Michael Jackson-lookalike. The CEC that used to be in my area had two floors; the main floor had CEC and the gang, and the upper floor were Dolly and King Cat
The first Chuck E Cheese my parents took me to was a place in Hampton VA. It had all of these characters. It was quite neat. That last Chucke E Cheese I went to was when my family and I took my nephew out to one in Grand Rapids, MI. The only animatronic on stage was Chucky himself while the rest of the characters were on TV screens. The show was good and service was stellar. But the experience would have been better with all the animatronic characters.
Ok I've got the most random/difficult question. I really don't know how to ask it, but does ANYONE remember some weird flapper like wings and elephant feet that would play like tambourine's and jingles? They were coming out of the wall up to the right of the stage. Out in front of the stage a little bit. Someone please help me figure this one out! ha
Pizza Time Theatre bankrupted and closed in 1984 and was acquired by Showbiz Pizza after that in the early 90s Showbiz and its characters were phased out and both stores became known simply as Chuck E Cheese's.
@AeroWinds2k9 Actually I really like the Pizza Time Players and own this show in my house. The Rock-afire rights belonged to CEI and were only leased to showbiz. Showbiz bought out CEC in 1984 and owned those characters outright.
Harmony was one of several guests used. Helen Henny became the permanent 5th member after the chain was acquired by Showbiz pizza. She was used in 1981-82 and had 2 show tapes that featured her.
Whenever I bring up the subject of Chuck E Cheese, I can tell you right now that most of the middle aged adults I've talked to about it tell me that their pizza was terrible, of course I wouldn't know because I wasn't around in the late 70s.
Great video, I'm definitely saving this one! The first Chuck E Cheese in Sacramento, behind Florin Mall, later became the Good Guys store where several people were shot on live TV in 1991- it recently became a Dollar Tree store.
Very sad, they dont even show many arcade games, you can tell that they were already going the way of the redemption arcade games and kiddie entertainment center even back then.
Try going to sleep now...
