@robertaplantledzep I think it may be that the BBC does not have sponsors looking over their shoulders all the time. Don't get me wrong I think the US has created some great drama in recent years. But when it comes to comedy I think that the BBC are tops. This show started out as a radio show on Radio 4 where it gained a cult following. Because it was Radio the impressions and writing had to be spot on, they could not rely on props. IMHO the radio show was better than this.
