If Dick Clark was still on the Pyramid (even from the 1988 season on) the show would have lasted several more seasons because it was a classic and the chemistry was there.
This was a good episode. Soupy and Theresa still have it in them after all of these years and rust hasan't really set in... at least for giving clues, not for time management. The players did a good job to, to complete those rounds of subjects under split second differences. I would give this one 4 stars because of the excitement we love to see.
There was indeed...after the copyright/Stewart Productions title, 2 additional titles ran: "In Association w/Carolco Television Productions" and "Distributed by Orbis Communications, Inc" (which is what that freeze-frame of the WC was used to cover up, when first-season eps aired to pad out the 2nd season after the last first-run show ran in early Dec. 91).
I've noticed that it's now "A Stewart Tele Enterprises Production", instead of "A Bob Stewart Production", and it's no longer copyright "BASADA".
Also, was there a freeze-frame shot of the Winner's Circle at the end of each episode from this version? And I thought Orbis Communications (not Multimedia Entertainment) distributed this version.
Correct...that freeze-frame shot of the WC was used on first-season reruns that aired as "filler" for the tail end of the 2nd season, to cover up the in-credit mentions of Carolco TV and Orbis that preceded the Orbis logo.
Plus, at the end of every episode of this version, they dropped all references to CBS. The only mentioning of Television City was in the show's introduction.
The first season was distributed by Orbis Communications. Multimedia distributed the second, and eventually final, season after Orbis filed for bankruptcy.
wow, an extended cut of the theme ON AIR...

Well I think that Teresa and Soupy were annoyed by John Davidson's Hosting.
I'm glad that Teresa and Soupy are still active.

I seem to remember a distributed by Orbis Communications ticker in the end credits before the logo at the end.

There was a logo for Carolco Television Productions?
ShaDeed329 2 years ago
No, just for Orbis, though it included a Carolco Pictures Company byline.

To TexasTV:
Just out of curiosity, who are the celebrities on the episodes from this version of "Pyramid" that you have?

That was because CBS wasn't involved with this version except for the use of the studio.
