Losing the weight was a great thing for you. And its just not good to be over weight. People don't treat u right. I did lap band and I was not even big. The doctor agreed because I paid cash. I just never wanted to get big. I call myself doing preventive measures. Every chick is fat in my family. And I didn't want to be the fat chick ever. I did mine in 2006 also in Chicago. Did u ever go back for the restrictions, where they tighten the band with saline?

This is a great video!! i need to do something like this. from your video you look like your a tall guy. I just got my lapband done on september 28, 2010. im still going through a lil pain from time to time but i am very excited to finally lose all my weight. i am currently on a liquid diet for the next 10 days until i see my doctor and then will be able to eat solid foods. surprisingly i am not very hungry. i am currently 344 and i am 5'5".

@0ldsch00lgamer hey no problem :-) my surgery date was pushed back another 5 months I was so upset but my insurance has a policy that states that a 6 month waiting period is needed before they pay..
What a person does in their personal life is their business, you are suppose to be focused on the weight loss results, not who's smoking what... This was not a drug and alcohol movement ! Geez ! By the way, congrats on your new beginning on life Sweetheart !

I have entered a state of weight gain that despite working out and eating less and going hungry all the time I cant lose.. and creep up about 1lb a month. How did you feel during the weight loss? any headaches from lack of food? Any pain from the device? any light headedness? Reason I ask is I am a pilot and need to be careful what I get myself into.

People do not understand at your biggest weight you are still a person who loves and cares about others..actually more about others than you do yourself. It's a shame others cannot except us as we are...but neither can we due to the fact that society has there own "standards" of who is exceptable and who is not. You look good either way brother. And I can only hope then when you get down to the weight you want to be..you get ride of all the people who did not except you for the way you where.
You'll be fine, I had surgury over 2 years ago. This is a journey, not a quick fix, as long as you remember that, you'll be fine. I was scared too, but it was worth it. Just do everything your dr. tells you too.

Congratulations! You look great! I had my surgery Jan 25th and I have lost 37 lbs. I lost 27 lbs the first 6 weeks, but my first fill after I went to solids just wasn't very restrictive so I didn't lose that much. I feel much better though already. Just had a good fill today and will try for 20 lbs this time before my next fill. Keep up the good work! I would definately recommend the lap band surgery.

You'll be fine, I had surgury over 2 years ago. This is a journey, not a quick fix, as long as you remember that, you'll be fine. I was scared too, but it was worth it. Just do everything your dr. tells you too.

Im from Ga, I am scheduled for my first meeting with the DR's here next week. I have been going thru the phases of what and when to do this. I can honestly say that seeing your video has made a definite change. I hope you all the success and hapiness that you may find in life.

Hi, Katiebob. I am in Ga too. I was just banded 10/11/2008 in Tijuana, Mexico. I am down 15 lbs and I am having my first fill next Tuesday, yes, 2 days before Thanksgiving. I purposely planned it that way!

Congratulations, I had the lap band in 2001 and have lost a total of 56.5kg. Just recently I had a tummy tuck and had 3kg of skin removed. I'm glad your life now has colour because its way too short!! XOXO

I am very proud of you - you did an awesome job because even with the lap band it is hard work. Congratulations. It took you from looking old to looking your age - and put your whole life in front of you! When I started watching I did not realize you were so young. u ispired me dude.. i had my surgery last year dec 28th. now after the surgery and my first fill i lost 20kg... i cant wait to loss more weight...hoping to have waist 30w and weight 70kg....rather 142kg.50w...

Congratulations! You look great! I had my surgery Jan 25th and I have lost 37 lbs. I lost 27 lbs the first 6 weeks, but my first fill after I went to solids just wasn't very restrictive so I didn't lose that much. I feel much better though already. Just had a good fill today and will try for 20 lbs this time before my next fill. Keep up the good work! I would definately recommend the lap band surgery.
