  • Rick Parfitt plays the intro to Caroline brilliantly. The quo rock

  • Great to see the Quo like I know them best.

Seeing them in 3 days time in Sydney getting ready to rock.

    Thanks for the clip

  • on the level , what a masterpiece album,,

i saw them to in 75,,after 77,,the quo was over,,when John Coghlan left the band,,do you see who is the founder of stage diving,,,not metallica it was quo,,

  • wrong - iggy pop did it long before the 70s even started.

  • ...and he obviously landed on his head...

  • Been a fan ever since "Hello" Album 1975 and what a sound! Great old Scott band Love The QuO!!

  • The KEY to their sucess might be: after 35 years ,we should know exactly what we gonna get and get boared right before it even starts...but we just never do!

For ROCK is the drive of our own lifes.

  • Saw the original lineup at Deeside Leisure Center (Chester), NEC and Blackpool. Last concert was small - like being in your front room. Superb. Not arf.

  • Saw them in 75 ..they were awesome... blew the roof off the festival hall...LOUD!!!!!

  • This pure fuckin rock & roll........quo rules

  • Been jammin' to the Qou since 1973.The best live act i've ever seen. and yes they still kick ass!!! I only wish they would come back to the states. These younger folks don't have a clue on what they missed out on. Quo 4 ever

  • Got a dad (circa 1960) that doesn't let me forget this fact but there are SOME people born after 1970 (even as late as '86 ;)) that know more than WYW and ROTW!

  • why did the bass man and drummer leave?

  • To minnigaffman01.. Drummer left in 1981, he said 'it wasn't fun anymore..' Bassist left three years later,'tho he joined them as a one-off to do Live Aid. He thought they had abandoned their rocky side and you know what..? He was right..! 70's Quo... brilliant rock n boogie. .... 80's Quo and beyond. No Bollocks and no Soul..!

  • did anyone ever trip over the leads, as they move all over the place. Classic rock

  • Perfect livesound! 100% Rock'n'Roll!

  • Bijna helemaal geen geluid!

  • that was rockin'

I thort the vocals were ok. And the sound, well cmon, it was 1972..

  • they should've carried on with the drugs. they were awsome

  • Hell's teeth, I was there!!!!! with hair and everything.. I've still got the denim waist coat, Christ I love this..

  • Me too!

  • @thefunwehad

U R "55" and I am also "55" M8...and I was there to see them all round London and THe South in the early Mid-1970's when they were "pauing their dues".

One concert at The Croydon Greyhound all-standing 3,000 capacity saw then do 5 encores ( including a "Johnny Be Goode" 7 part medley!).

    COST? 70 PENCE!!

  • get off your seats motherfuckers and headbang! to the greatist rock band i know! :D

  • clasic quo, they should go for it again stuff at present is dull with not guts bring it on Quo !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If this was too hit the music scene now these guys would have been massive worldwide.

Classic and all time best Quo with Rock, Alan, John and Francis.

Saw them in November again. Amsterdam. Awesome.

Unique band and sound. THE BEST :)

  • Get up and go stomp..this is the real thing...

  • I can remebmer the young days, and they were good

  • Um... If you can remember those days... you weren't there... :)

  • I saw thw Quo at Crodon on Tuesday 09/10/08 - first time in 40 years - just totally fucking brilliant -I can just about hear again now!!

    Shan't leave aother 40 years

  • Heads down, no nonsense boogie! Gotta love it!

  • Damn fuckin' right, fellas!

  • fuckin hell it doesnt get better than this

  • it damn well dont brother!

  • This is how rock music should be, the Quo make most other "rockers", especially the HM Glam stuff, look like a bunch of camp muppets.

  • Woo Woo

im 12 and im gonna see em at christmas :DD yay mee haha

  • saw them 1975 in vienna. those were days ; )

put a big poster in the classroom & my teacher ripped it off ; )

    thanks for posting this

  • too true those were the days eh

  • what a fuckin great version!

  • Now THAT'S the Quo I know and love !!!!!!!!!

  • I really wish Quo would reform the original line-up for even just once. Wherever it was in the world, I would go to it !

  • I would go there, too.

I would pay any price to get there,I would travel round the world, just to see the frantic four once, as im 17 and couldn't see them in the 70's unfortunately!but I love them!

  • Me too!!!

  • Comment removed

  • still the best band ever.and great track.

  • i've always loved that guys. when i was in Germany in 1985 i went out of my way to get to a store to buy an album i couldn't get in the USA

  • ESTO ES LO MÁS GRANDE

  • o i wish the audio was better =(

    I love this!

    Long Live Quo!

We need to being back gd ol rock n roll like this.

  • i was only 1 year old then lol iv been going to quo gigs for the past 15 years :D

  • This was the best line up The Quos ever had!!

John Coughlin was a real bad ass drummer, wow!!!

  • I grew up listening to Quo. Fantastic!

  • status quo at there best

  • pure xxcc

  • Thats real stuff, status quo, small stage, crowd almost sharing the stage... them..ualllll. I dont remember another band that the members play all the time so close feeling each other playing . amazing.

  • First saw Quo in 1972, not my favourite band but a good night was always had at one of their concerts. Always had a soft spot for them, never took themselves seriously like some bands, they know Rock'n'Roll is all about having a good time, just delivered raunchy R&B with a smile.

  • My first concert was Quo 1975 at Newcastle city hall.

Went to see them last year at same venue 32 years later still fantastic we were on the balcony it was bounceing up and down with the crowd.

  • brilliant (memories)

  • This was absolutely the best years of Quo for me,I saw them ....ooooh it must have been 20-30 odd times if not more .

There was -not one- gig I left dissapointed.

I forgot about Quo for a few years when I left the UK in 80, butI am reclaiming my youth watching this in 2008.

You hafta love The Quo !!!!!!!

    Rock the f**k on !!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • I love the fact that (almost) no two Quo songs are in the same style and even the same song gets played with over time. They're very experimental, which is great but makes it hard to like everything they've done. I like this version of Caroline the best, I think.

  • THE BEST

  • What can I say? Effin' superb. I love the fan at 1m 04s, he's into it.

  • before they sold out and went all chas n dave

  • I FEEL 15 AGAIN BLOODY GOOD

  • This song is off of hello !!! But I just have to say Quo Heads ... On the Level just plain kicks ass !!! Shit Man , The back in the day Quo rocked hard ...

  • i had seen them in 1975 being 14, my first concert ever, it was great, we were in the first row. there was a strange smell (fog-machine?) which i never ever smelled again...some things never change like these men

  • Quo at their best with Lancaster and Coughlan

Great rock song, great live band.

  • Saw Quo live in The Apollo Glasgow around 1980or 81. We were at the front of the circle balcony and I swear it was boncing up and down when we were all rocking to this song. Happy days!

  • I would have been there - saw them every opportunity at that time. Yes, the circle did bounce when Quo were on. I was in there once and there were actual chunks of plaster dropping on us from the legendary upper circle. Met Rick and Pete Kercher either 80 or 81 in the Holiday Inn one night - couldn't get nicer more down to earth blokes.

  • Yeah! Notice that the intro of this theme was used by Apollo 4:40 in their song "Stop the rock".

Big time for Status Quo: "On the level" is one of their greatest albums!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My ex-girlfriend's sister is called Caroline.

  • My boss's ex-wife used to work with a lady whose hairdresser had a daughter called Caroline.

  • My sisters ex-husbands brother in law has a son who once went out with Girl called Mandy and her brother married a Girl from Germany (who later divorced him) but she had an Auntie who new a Girl called Julie and the funny thing about it is, Julie's Brother was called Caroline!

  • I know a song by Status Quo called Caroline.

  • That's stretching reality a bit too far. You obviously talk bollocks. However, on the off chance that you should be right, lets wish our birds wake us up with a nice cup of tea in the morning.

Max love to the quo, and anyone else who knows how to have fun.

    x

  • I know a song by Status Quo called Carol.

Mmm, wonder if she is one and the same?

  • the best song i've ever heard........

  • Tommy Vance lives? ;-)

  • BEST BAND, SONG, INTRO EVER!!!!!!!!

  • I remember when I first listened to that song... it came like a revelation!

I tought it was the first time I was listening to real music!!!

Everything else that I loved before (man we had stupid songs back in the 70' !!!) suddenly had absolutely no taste what so ever!!!

I was only 12 and decided to learn to play the guitar!!!

    yeahhhh

  • Know what yer saying bruver-

the Quo were summit else away back in the early 70s.

  • fantastic...

  • patchouli, paki black and losing my cherries, memories

  • Now this is rock n roll. Four blokes with long hair pounding the shit out of a 12 bar song....top bollox!!!

  • the best quo song by far, pity they split, never did take to the newbies when john coghlan and allan lancaster left

    rock on the old quo

  • 1st album I ever bought Apollo Glasgow "How are you then, ALRIGHT" aged 10

  • Best live band ever - Apollo Glasgow was awesome

  • StatusQuo 2 me is (was) a steamin' Parfitt/Lancaster/Coghlan-train on rampage & there were many brilliant things 2 cum IF Rossi hadn't decided he's Mr.Quo!

  • still love em but when lancaster left they lost a great songwriter/singer.never sounded the same.

  • i love status quo but when lancaster left that was that 4me like just look at them now with that ulgy fucker rinho he is more like the quo than liverpool will win the leg

  • Just been You tubing Led zep why they are considered better than Quo is beyond me. live in the 70's Quo were the Dogs Bollocks

  • Goghan and Lancaster were the guys who made this happen. Blue for you album was the end of a wonderful thing. Saw them play theis many times.

  • John Coghlan mate, and I think the current line up is superb - the best!

  • @ champion24:

Yes, its great. But forget Alan Lancaster. he cant play and he cant sing!

  • it was a real poxy reason why he left.but life goes on.much like the quo!

  • The group was much better with him. After he leaved the group disappeared the good rock'n'roll music and was replaced with schlagermusic.

  • spot on.They lost the edge they had.Became a bit softer but still aint to bad live although i wont compare them now to how they used to be!

  • Though he wrote sum of their best stuff, sampler!

  • still love em to death but this proves the original line up will always be the best!

  • Very nice! It's very rare to see them play with Alan Lancaster, the former bassist. They're much better when he played in the group. When he didn't play in Status Quo anymore played the group schlagermusic..

  • Awesome song. Saw them last year in Sydney with Deep Purple and they were more enjoyable than Purple. Long Live Rock!

  • thanks you have made a life long Quo fan very happy

  • Yes!!!

  • F*cking awesome!!!! My first ever concert was Quo at the Glasgow Apollo in 1975 (the greatest venue in the universe ever!!)Keep the classic Quo vids coming!!!!!

  • My head is still banging, long live the Quo.

  • I love this...they are so COOL!

  • FUCKING AWESOME! Where one earth did you get this by the way? Never seen this in 20 years of being a Quo fan! Nice one for uploading it!

  • Lot's mate.

  • Best band in the world. Still going strong and as good live as ever.

  • FUCKING greaaaaaaat work of Status Quo.

  • Brilliant!

  • You CANNOT beat a bit of Quo! Thanx!

  • So cool must seethem again next yr!

  • Awesome! Status Quo rocks always!

  • This kinda clips musta been XXX rated, fellas!! Like always, thanks, big bro/sista quoeffinmad.

  • Best band in the world. Still going strong and as good live as ever, if not better.

    Quality video.

  • Blimey this takes me back. Saw them 4 times between 72 and 76 in me denims, still got 5 albums, great band then, shame they went a bit too poppy for me, still they needed the money for the snorty stuff

  • i think that, if Status Quo hadnt persisted (with stuff like: In the army now), they would've cemented some kind of iconic position within england's rock hierarchy. As it is: bands are bloody well influenced by them, but as hell are sure not to ever, ever admit to that.

  • proper quo .Great times, still got my waistcoat, wish it still fitted now though !!

  • Real Quo, the business. There's some Marquee footage from 72 somewhere. That's great too.

  • Great!
