  • @firemusic82 That wheel has three functions. The first being to advance the film once you've taken a shot. This is done by winding it clockwise until it stops. This also re-cocks the shutter and flips the mirror back down so you're ready to take the next shot. The third function is to set the shutter speed from 1/1000th of a second to 1 second in full stop intervals. it also includes a Bulb setting which can be used when you've added a release cable.

  • Wow this is so cool dude. Thanks so much for sharing this. I have a 500cm and I never knew the 1000f had that wheel on the left side of the body. So that wheel has several functions? Does it adjust the aperture and shutter speed from that wheel also? I know what yo mean about the sound. I LOOOVE the sound of the Hassie shutters. Amazing machines.

  • @firemusic82 Setting the shutter speed is done by pulling the knob out and turning it clockwise until you get to the correct marking on the wheel, then letting it spring back into position
