man i remember sneaking up pass curfew just to watch Cowboy bebop ( Greatist anime EVER), yu yu haskasho and Outlaw star in all its glory when i was little. what would have really been awesome is if [adult swim] had Zoids-chaotic century on their channel that would have kicked major ass.

Toonami was the shit back in the 90's-2001 with the Midnigth Runs. Then came adult swim and Toonami went downhill until it was no more. Now the same thing is happening to [as] -_-

@Hijinx1982 Thing is [AS] is still going, and as much as it changed... I still watch it because I remember all the good times and good shows. I received my Yu Yu Hakusho Season 1 Blu-Ray today, and nostalgia kicked me right in the bathing suit area. :)

Its amazing how much you appreciate something when its no longer with us. I remember the first night this came on because Batman Beyond came on when the acme hour usually came on, and then I saw the Intro for Adult Swim saturday's. Then when school came on monday all my friends and I talked about was the new block on saturdays.

@megagangster321 Toonami was a program block on Cartoon Network that began in March 1997 through September 2008. The block was dedicated mostly to action cartoons, but mostly shown action anime. Shows that were on the block included all of Dragon Ball/Z/GT, Sailor Moon, Robotech, ThunderCats, many of the Tenchi Muyo series, Rurouni Kenshin, and much more. This blocked helped anime get into the U.S. mainstream during the late 90's. Most shows shown on Toonami (anime) were heavily censored.

@NYCKNP You know, there were times awhile back where I wanted to email CN and talk about why they need to bring the "old" Toonami back, but then I would back out because I realized that there were others who did the same thing and got no where... All I have are the memories of the dubbed DBZ (I only watch it subbed now), Yu Yu Haksuho, Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, etc. Those were the best times.
