I had a cute white cat, his name was Zoncín. One week ago he died because of a illness. I buried him in my house´s garden. I put on his tomb a lot of yellow flowers because I want to think that it was his favourite color.

Yes, It´s the saddest thing when you have to bury your own pet.

It was very hard and I will always miss her. But to give a little advice I will say if I could go back in time I would have put her down and spared her the pain of the last three hours of her life where she just struggled to breath. That was the hardest part seeing her like that and feeling so helpless to help her. It is never easy but it is important not to be selfish when it is an animals time to go. That is a lesson I had to learn the hard way.

They are only deaf if they have blue eyes. Mine has green and has great hearing. If yours has one blue eye he is probably deaf in the ear on the same side.

I suspect that they may be smelling the food, not hearing it. If you can, try and sneak up from behind and call out their names. If their ears go back and they don't turn around they can hear you for sure. In fact the ears going back will mean that they are angry at you for calling them.

it's dry food, so i very much doubt they can smell it from across the house. i know they can hear though because 1) the vet told me they are not deaf when i asked them years ago about deaf white cats and 2) their ears definitely turn when noises happen around them
