These idiots totally missed ALL of the not-all-that-subtle points of the movie highlights that make up the trailer. If you need proof that worst part about homophobia is not its malice but its utter, flat-line cluelessness, these incompetent reviewers supply it in full measure. The book, and the movie made from it, were delightful, and its trailer (for those of normal intelligence) gives a sufficiently appealing and accurate notion of what the movie is about.

To tell the truth, the trailer didn't do justice for the movie, but the movie was really good! There was drama, but unforunately some straight people don't even try to get in our shoes. And you know, this is why movies are made for, in order that the viewer experiences something new. And even if you didn't understand what Eric was going through, didn't you question yourselves, what would you do in case your child turned out to behave differently from the others???

it's like they went "lets get this over with" and done. yes, it was Halloween, yes, there were other dressed up kids in the background, no the guys did not send him to school like that ("Sam sent you to school as a hobo") the drama? hello?! it's even NARRATED, and where do they get off saying Sam and Eric didnt like Scot?! Eric is a reluctant one, sure, but Sam was cool!

You two are really bad at analysing movies, If you didn't notice this movie is about 2 gays where one isn't openly gay and then they get an extremly femenine kid that doesn't really know how to not be himself like many people are.

If you didn't notice that one of the gays isn't really comfortable with the fact of people noticeing that the kid is so femenine and breaks all the stupid norms of how to act in school just from watching the trailer once then maby, just maby you should watch it again.

Wow, could Rosen & Cannell be any more clueless and ignorant here? And why are they trying to critique a trailer to a film they haven't seen? "Breakfast With Scot" is a very beautiful film about a boy who loses his family, and two gay men who learn the beauty of having a child to care for. The boy is very flambouyant; they are into hockey and sports. They all learn from each other and the boy finds a home. It's very insulting how Rosen & Cannell assume that all gay people are alike.

Yes these two reviewers belong on the Jay Walking segments on the tonight show. If they can't figure out that the "parents" are defensive and fearful about society's perceptions of them whereas the kid is totally out there and oblivious to possible negative reactions even from the short trailer, then they should have their breeders' licenses revoked. They are obviously to stupid to propogate. Actually, the whole idea of reviewing from trailers is stupid, but this trailer is pretty spot on.

I just watched the movie and was amazed at how much I loved it. I didn't know that people just rated trailers. How stupid is that? For the uninformed, the gay couple is very closeted since Eric works in professional sports and he works very hard to keep his sexuality a secret. Scot is very flamboyant and and draws attention to Eric, who is very uncomfortable of being "gay by association". Overall, it's an immensely entertaining film that left me feeling good the rest of the night.

I just laughed so hard when the male reviewer said the kid was 'more' gay than his foster fathers. How does that work? Either you are attracted to your own sex, or you aren't. Or does he mean that the kid is more attracted to boys/men than two grown-up men? I hardly think so.

I haven't seen this but it's obvious that it has to do with accepting others and ourselves. Yes they are gay, so why do they have trouble relating to the gay kid?
