Your cover is just awesome. I have been using the wrong tool for about 3 years now (Logic/Garageband). I see I should have been using Reason. While Logic may be able to mimic an instrumental verison of Save a Prayer, it isn't going to be anywhere as good as this. Did you have to buy any Refill packs to do this?

Ciao a tutti e complimenti all'autore, premetto che sono un chitarrista ma, le tastiere mi hanno sempre affascinato soprattutto questo maestoso suono di save a prayer, in merito vorrei porvi una domanda: è possibile ottenere il suono esatto direttamente dalla tastiera magari usando la stessa che usa lui senza tagliare e ricreare?

Ciao, la tastiera usata per il suono del flauto sintetizzato, se è questo il suono a cui ti riferisci, era una Roland Jupiter 8 del 1981. Oggi questi sintetizzatori raramente li trovi sotto i 2000 euro perché di prestigio. Sulle odierne tastiere General Midi puoi trovare suoni simili sotto le sezioni dei flauti o dei synth pad, ma avere un synth vero e ricreare il suono da li è la cosa migliore. Con un po' di fortuna puoi trovare diversi Roland Juno 60 o 106 usati a poche centinaia di euro

Ciao, mi riferivo non al suono del flauto ma all'arpeggio iniziale che poi accompagna tutto il brano cambiando di melodia in alcuni punti, io volevo sapere se fosse possibile ottenere il suono esatto direttamente dalla tastiera magari usando la stessa che usa lui senza tagliare e ricreare con software come egregiamente hai fatto tu.

Per il suono dell'arpeggio iniziale su una qualsiasi tastiera General Midi scegli il suono chiamato Squarewave Lead. Si avvicina ma non è proprio lo stesso suono. Per ottenere quel suono su un synth vero devi usare 2 oscillatori a onda quadra, distanziarli di 1 ottava l'uno dall'altro e impostare il decay dell'inviluppo in modo che il volume sfumi subito dopo aver suonato la nota. Dopodiché aggiungi un po' di riverbero e di delay et voilà, il suono dell'arpeggio

You have a better sequencer sound than the guy you responded to but the "flute" sound is worse. You two combine each other's work and it's almost like the original.

il suono dell'arpeggio sul ritornello è lo stesso del loop iniziale...quindi tagliando una nota da quel suono ho creato l'arpeggio del ritornello! spero di essermi spiegato meglio :)

Credo di aver capito: hai tagliato una nota per ricavarti il "suono" per l'NN-XT, poi,(correggimi pure)usando note diverse da quelle usate per l'arpeggio iniziale cioè RE;DO#;SI;LA hai prodotto il secondo arpeggio,corretto? le note usate per il secondo arpeggio sono esatte? il sequencer originale l'ho importato come wave su una traccia della REDRUM e messo in loop (per le strofe) per il ritornello ho invece usato l'NNXT tagliando una singloa nota dal loop originale...

heyhey! i notice that you have sampled the initial sequencer with nn-xt. when 01:01 your sequencer is pretty bad. sorry. no matrix. isn't BEST VERSION :-(

All sounds here are better, including the sequencer, but the sound with bending should be subtractor with the patch "Jupiter 4" on Polysynths folder. I would appreciate if you could record with this new sound. I'll put it in my favorites. Thanks
