  • This makes sense to me in a house you feel secure and you want to improve yourself. What is great about this it is cheaper than throwing them in jail. How many police man hours waisted on the homeless when the homeless only want a little love. If they destroy the house they should be held accountable. Better is a problem before it occurs than the end of it afterward. This needs to spread so the city doesnt get overwealmed with home less neighbors. They can get help close to where they are alread

  • I love Linda too! I was in the Housing First program, and it saved my life. It was December, and we were having our first snowfall when I got my place. I have since moved on; got my Social Security, stabilized on my meds, and now live in a very nice Section 8 apartment in a nice neighborhood. Housing First is a necessary program to help the transition from homelessness to housing. Thank you Mark for posting.

  • Excellent Discussion!

  • I wish NYC would work on ending homelessness and employment
