There's so many places to see in Honduras, not only it's beautiful white sand beaches, it also has lakes, pristine rainforests, millenary mayan temples at Copan, Spanish forts and Churches and it's cheerful warmhearted people plus so much more!!

I have visited all these places mentioned. Each has something special, even Nicaragua and Ciudad Juarez; it all depends what you're looking for/what's your point of view. Cancun is great, lots of fun, sort of like a Mexican Miami. It's popular, cheap and easy to get to. But a person may be looking for a more primitive setting, more pristine, less traveled. Alas, Roatan has been found and it's beginning to suffer from its growth so go and enjoy it before it gets too commercial.
