  • @victorinogomez Thanks! :)

  • Great job dude!

  • @coalsampler147 Thanks! :)

  • More good help and variations-now gotta get the lyrics on paper and match 'em up with the chords-and i also suck on voice and guitar!

  • But thank you man didn't mean to offend ya if i did

  • @SoCxXerXceS Thanks, but you didn't offend me, it is just that we all had to go through what you are going through. It is all a part of the learning curve! :)

  • i wish there was very detailed guitar lessons on youtube, seems every song i want to learn doesn't give enough instruction's for a new guy like me. i suck at guitar i want to get better

  • @SoCxXerXceS Well, I do this for free and my time is limited. Learning guitar takes time, no way around it, but it's worth it.

  • @KingsBladeUSA I know what your sayin dude, but i hate when people are like gotta do a b miner sharp blaw blaw blaw lol. Im still like wtf is a fret? haha

  • @SoCxXerXceS All you need to know is the basic chords. I still don't really know them either even though I have a chord chart poster hanging on my wall right next to me! lol! Don't worry about it, just put in the time and you will get better and better! :)

  • yeah, Its E-B flat-F repeating

  • @Guitar10163 Thanks! :)

  • man great tone weard you get that guitar love it beautifull song and guitar!

  • @UsedUpDope247 It's an old Ovation Legend (they don't make them anymore) that I bought used from a friend back in 1986-87 (can't remember). Thanks for watching and commenting! :)

  • Thanks! :)

  • hey thanks alot. love this song! you do very good at teaching. wat was that rift that you did for the bridge?

  • Thanks! Sorry I missed this comment. You don't have to do that riff if you are just playing on acoustic. Many people just skip it. Thanks again for watching and commenting! :)

  • just learning and you make it fun and easy.. thanks.

  • Glad to help. Thanks for watching and commenting! :)

  • that does a great deal for me. sounds good.

  • I am glad to help. Thanks for watching and commenting! :)

  • thankz alot man u teach very well u should be a guitar teacher if ur not one yet ..thankkz

  • You are welcome, Thanks for the kind comments! :)

  • hey thanks 4 the help! i like ur yamaha rgx612a back there. i have the exact same one. do you know wut year it was made?

  • Thanks, my guitar in the background does look a lot like the Yamaha, but it is a 86 Charvel Model 4 Made in Japan with the Fort Worth Texas plate, said to be one of the finest imported guitars ever made! I have to agree and so does my expert luthier friend ( 25 years in fender guitar service). She is a beauty! (it must be made in japan with the texas plate though). I bought it brand new and did some mods, but it is in nearly perfect condition! Thanks again! :)

  • thank you guy

  • You're Welcome! :)

  • are u using standard tunning(just wanna be sure) awesome video very helpful...

  • Yes, this video song is in standard tunning, however, it has been said that Live detunes down a half step and plays it in F. Thanks Again! :)

  • man thanks i found this very helpful!! thanks can as i am just beginning with teh gittar would you tell me if ths string are E A D G B E? or are they in another tuning? i know you said something about it in the video but wanna be sure

  • Yes, standard tuning. Thanks for watching and commenting! :)

  • What strumming pattern are you using? Can you give it in D,U?

  • I recomment players to listen very carefully to songs and try to find a comfortable strumming pattern on their own. It is very good for your learning process. Thanks for watching and commenting! :)

  • Thank you for making this tutorial! I am brand new at guitar (bar chords, ahhh!), and I think I can learn from this! Love this song....

  • I am glad to help! :)

  • im also sure that it is detuned...every string is a half step down.

  • Ah, Yes, detuned a half step down, I said up... doh! Thanks!

  • its an F note. i saw it live. the guitarist is only playing like 2 bars.

  • Yes, thanks you are right, but I believe they have tuned up a half note (that's what I heard). Also if you listen to the orginal version and your guitar is in standard tuning, then you would have to play an E to match the note. I don't think it matters too much. I play it in both. :) Thanks Again for visiting and commenting!

  • Nice work! This was a very good lesson. I appreciate you taking the time to share this with us!

  • Thanks. I am happy to help. :)

  • nooo ... u were right ioj the begining.. its starts whit an F.. watch the live version when they play the song in the studio u can see it :)

  • thanks man i picked this up as soon as you started playing, and your not a bad singer either keep up good work man.

  • Thanks :)

  • thnx

  • yw :)

  • I was thinking about buying a cheap guitar and trying to learn it. This is a helpful video, I have one question, how do you think this awesome song would sound on something like a First Act Full-Size Electric Guitar? I only mention it because its on sale and I have some points at best buy, I could essentially get it for free. Thanks

  • I am not familiar with the First Act guitar, but usually it not easy to spend a lot of money on your first guitar until you are convinced that you will continue to play it. You can always buy your next guitar when you are ready. Usually Live's guitarist plays this song on a clean electric, so yeah, it would sound good!

  • thx mate :)

  • Your Welcome :)

  • i like your style. thx man

  • cheers mate you made it so much easier than reading tabs cheers man

  • Glad to help :)

  • my mom loves this song thanx

  • You're Welcome, It is a great song :)

  • i think i have that same guitar, is it an Ovation Balladeer?

  • Actually, My guitar is a 1985 Ovation Legend Electric model #1617. Thanks for watching and commenting :)

  • Cool, I own a '76 Balladeer and a '96 Elite. No other guitar feels quite like an Ovation. I have played top of the line Martins, Taylors, Takamine...you name it...I don't see peoples beef with Ovation. Anyways nice vid, very good teacher.

  • I Love my Ovation :) I think it is a great guitar! Thanks again :)

  • Thank you soo much man, you have helped me out greatly, and i think this song is a very good song and you are a very good teacher, once again thank you very much

  • I am glad to help, Thanks for visiting and you are welcome very much :)

  • thanks for that m8 helped us out loads if it wasnt for people like u i wouldnt be at my standard im at now besta luck m8 and thx again u got another top ratin from me

  • Thank You M8, I am happy to help Ya :)

  • very good lesson, but the reason you think it needs to be played in E rather than F, is that LIVE de tunes 1/2 step for all their guitars for 99% of their songs.

ie Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb. Then it can be played in F.

  • Ah, Yes, that would make sense. Thanks for the info and thanks for watching and commenting :)

  • is that an ovation celebrity? if it is i use the same one

  • My guitar is a 1985 Ovation Legend Electric model #1617. Thanks for watching and commenting :)

  • wow nice job and the lesson =) my dad could even even show me that and he is really good ... hes just not a good teacher XD lol thank for the lesson though

  • I am happy to help spread the music. Thanks for watching and commenting :)

  • 1 comment? WTF? This is one of the best lessons Ive seen - should be heaps more comments keep em coming man - helped me a lot!

hey - either you use real thin strings for an acoustic or you got strong fingers man - i cant do that vibrato like that on an acoustic ! LOL

  • Thanks, I am glad it helps to spread the music. Yes, these are light strings :)

  • oh,watch in HD,that's great
