so you could just make many of these to make a solid mushroom cube and just dig the whole inside to your specs to make a massive mushroom mansion, it would take time of course, but as you said, NO ONE will ever have a house like yours lol

Rob's mushrooms look pretty cool and different, but doesn't provide much protection, and takes a lot of time to do. MonkeyJunk's "hole" suggestion will absolutely keep you safe, but is in no way a house, and is the most basic Minecraft maneuver, since everyone has done it, and involves standing in one place for the night cycle.
