@Scuderiaferre It's important not to confuse sovreignty with ownership. If BP wanted a rig in my back yard, they would have to ask my permission as owner. And the oil would belong to them/me depending on terms of the contract. At no point would it belong to the US govt. And the US govt has no right to seize their or my property, and should be overthrown.

Overthrown either by we the American ppl, or by the British govt in defence of BP, if practical and if the stakes were high (huge oil fields)
