  • Life still goes on. The AUTHOR of this poem is , by norwegian law, considered Weak in his mind. Jeg tror han ville likt denne versjonen,,

  • masterpiece

  • 5z

  • I love the norwegian language. So much, that I am even studying the norwegian language and culture at university now and I wish to live in Norway someday. I have loved this song for a long time and finally able to understand it all!

  • too short man... :I

  • It's kind of funny how this poem is over a hundred years old now, but not yet forgotten.

  • @furuilulz

That's the beauty of art. :)

  • +++ from Russia!!! Great band, great song!

  • cool !

  • @bewmius Og på norsk? Tusen takk!

  • @HinnStormur (part 1)

  • Veldig bra!! Lager meg trives.

  • I could listen to that violin forever <3

  • @bewmius thanks a lot, bewmius.

  • diddnt borknagar do a song with the same name in ´97

  • @BennyBryle Yeah they did, but with no vocals though.

  • @BennyBryle yep, they did, but it doesn't sound anything like this ;) if you try google on that title, there seem to have many bands covered that song. i guess it's an old norwegian folksong.

  • @widardd es isch knut hamsuns songtext

  • @widardd It's not an old folk song. It's Knut Hamsun's poem of the same name. The whole album is based on the poem collection of his, Det Vilde Kor. Knut Hamsun being a rather ingenious Norwegian author from late 1800's to the first half of the 1900's. Nobel Prize in literature and all that. This poem collection was published in 1904, and the lyrics haven't been modernised in any way.

  • @Minxiness thank you very much for teaching us a small lesson in norwegian literature :)

  • I like everything about this video!

  • That guy has the look of "I'm going to rape you."

  • Hi all. I'm an ex-Lumsk guitarist and I have 2 new songs featuring Espen Godø from Lumsk on keyboards and other top musicians. Go to my channel for a sample!!

  • I think this is the first song that actually put a lump in my throat.

  • The guy is Marco Antonio Solis

  • I'm an ex-member of Lumsk. Guitarist and writer of most of the music on Åsmund Frægdegjevar. I'm currently preparing new studio recordings - Visit bselsbak at MySpace.

  • @BSelsbak

Really ? that's awesome! Love that album, especially Ormin Lange.

  • @BSelsbak Thanks for the music im currently learning Norwegian with the hope of moving back there one day.. i have met a few Norwegians and have some Norwegian friends that claim to know members of Lumsk .. i dont think they are lying judging by the small population in norway especialy bergen... anyway keep up the music its teaching me your language =D tusen takk

  • Jeg elsker Norge <3 Danmark savner jer...

  • that ladie's profile gives me a boner

  • Me too.... and her voice exstends it into deep space.........

  • Too bad I can't understand a word of it. I really, really like it though.

  • Me encanta *.*

    Tusen Takk! :-)

  • @kanssasi Aldri sett "aldrig" før. Slo opp i ordlistene mine i skapet.

  • I like this video and the song so much from Lumsk. It is so calm and it is in black and white. Thanks for the upload, Lumsk is one of my favorite folk metal bands. I also admire her singing as well, so beautiful. ^_^

  • I FUCKING LOVE THIS !!!!

  • kanonbra:)

¿felicidad?

  • You do realize the irony in that statement, don't you?

  • did they break up?

  • @SpaceCadetMarty

    No.

Their guitarist and violinist where having a child together so they left. But they now have two swedes filling in on violin and guitar.

Their vocalist left to pursue other opportunities, but they have recently found a replacement vocalist.

  • Just one thing... in one hundred years this song will be not forgotten...

(my hope because i'm recording it for my daughter)

  • no it's translated, In hundred years everything will be forgotten

  • I know the translate meaning of the tittle of the song i just make a word trick with the tittle hoping not to forget this song in hundred years because i'm recording it to my daughter with the hope my daughter will record it to her sons if she will ever has some ^^

  • Such beautiful contrast of voices.

  • ....

  • Idiot.

  • Simply Beautiful....Good Music Period....

  • Ola Bremnes

  • Beautiful!!!

    Greetings from Hungary

    Andi

  • Hej.

  • best song of this album.

i know some people says that this isnt like metal or jaz folk etc etc.

but this song it is beyond words..

it is beautiful... i feel living in the mountains watching the sun with my beloved one

  • Extraordinario

  • Om Hundrede Aar Er Alting Glemt

"In a hundred years, everything is forgotten"

  • Just getting better each time I hear it.

    I'm a hardcore Hamsun fan! :)

  • I really love this song, but Hamsun was wrong; Over fifty years after his death his name is still tainted, and it will most likely continue to be that way in the next fifty years to come. However, this shouldn't stop us from enjoying his litterary work.

  • I've always thought about that one too.

    Hamsun is bigger than life.

  • Lumsk <3<3<3<3 e elsker musiken dis

ikke mobb meg for min dårlige skriving :P

  • she has a beautiful voice (L)

  • Thank you for the translation! \m/

  • i love this song but this is a short version of it

  • Perfecta

  • Perfect

  • If i ever go to heaven i can imagine voices in the distance that sounds like this woman.

Greeting you to an eternal life in happiness with your dead relatives

  • i've listened to this song for about 200 times and i still can't get enough of it...there's also the longer 6 minutes version, look it up

Magisk.

  • Bergtatt.

  • Jeg elsker....

  • Lumsk rules and so do Knut Hamsun.

  • Angel voice..

  • noe av det vakreste jeg har hørt!

  • This song is simply amazing!

Stine Mari Langstrand has such an enchanting, crystal-clear, beautiful voice! She's an awesome soprano! :)

    Lumsk RULES!

  • Yes they rule I don't know how many times I've seen this video.

  • Yeah, I know! It's kinda addictive! :)

Just love the voice, the song, the video... EVERYTHING!

  • I don't know what they're singing but this song makes me sad for some reason. Love it that's what music is all about.

  • I don't know the lyrics of the song, but the title would be like "In a hundred years, everything will be forgotten"

  • In a hundred years......even the title is sad, thanks.

  • there is a error or 2 so: I am this evening thinking, and conflicted, I think I'm like a capsized Boat, And all I moan and everything what I suffer Then I see me no Council. But if I will be so hard uneasy? In a hundred years everything is forgotten. Then I really rather stop the struggle. And go to sea with my tormented Soul. There the World vill find me sometimes later. So bitterly drowned to death. But if I will end all bad. In a Hundred years everything is forgotten
  • Thanks for the lyrics.

  • Råd means both Council and Advice, and obviously it means Advice in this context.

  • Hmm, I'm not correcting you because i'm not sure, but are you sure it doesn't mean 'counsel' and 'advice', because 'counsel' is a closer meaning to 'advice'

  • It does, but I replied to someone who had translated the lyrics like this from;

Saa ser jeg meg ingen Råd.

    To;

Then I see me no Council.

    -Which is wrong, and should be;

Then I see me no advice(/counsel).

  • thanks for the lyrics *.*

  • they sing in which language??norwegian??

  • smilegroda,

I put this on my blog(pédaleblaispédale)

  • Planant!

  • Awesome!

  • this is the best video ever!

  • the song title is the same as the Borknagar's 3º track from TOD.

    Nice song.

  • I love Norsk. I want to learn it.

  • This album is in danish...

  • I just can't get over the fact that Stine is not in Lumsk anymore :(. Her voice was perfect for their music.

  • fucking beautiful ,

  • Tussen aar har gatt

  • Hún er stolt mitt og skemmtan

    Hun er skvísa

  • The guy at 1:42 looks like my psychologist.

  • hahaha that made me laugh i don't know why =P

but beautiful song listened to it quite a few times in a row (=

  • I agree it is a WONDERFUL song. I love Norway and any type of Scandinavian music. This singer (I forget his name) does remind me of a friend's father who happens to be a shrink. Take it easy!

  • Norwegian. It`s norwegian. :)

  • Beautiful, beautiful...although I don't understand a single word...

  • What lenguage is it??

  • Norwegian

  • this is not danish! its norwegian! this is how norwegian was when knut hamsund lived. The norwegian language was affected by danish, but still this is norwegian.

  • really? it is so danish-like... I thought norsk were more icelandic-like before the danes ruled... but I am not any scholar right? yet..

  • The language they speak on Iceland is old-norwegian. That was the language we got in norway before the dannish union. When the dannish came the language got influenced by the dannish language and that turned into the language we speak today. But the language Lumsk is singing on this song is the old form of the language we speak today. It's not that different from the language today ;)

(sorry my english, I'm not that good at it :P)

  • jo, I got it now :) I misinterpreted what you said first :) but then again, this is old danish as much as old norwegian, just not as old as real old norse :P I think I said it right now, and in the end, we were both right, arguing for nothing :P anyway, the song rocks, and that should be all :)

  • well, for about 1500 years ago we spoke something called "Norrøn", and thats like a hybrid of icelandic and old-norwegian, and about 200 years ago norway was under danish rulage and wasd forced to write danish-norwegian.

  • Old Norse is not like a hybrid of modern Icelandic and Old Norwegian, as old Norwegian is an intrinsic part of the Old Norse language. Old Norwegian and Old Icelandic make up the Old West Norse dialect of Old Norse, so to call Old Norse a hybrid between itself and modern Icelandic is somewhat inaccurate. As for Danish rule, we were never forced to write in Danish, or later riksmaal, it was preferred.

  • i'm danish, and this is so not danish : D

  • Det er faen meg verdens beste låt..

  • i think if i marry girl like this iwill love her all the time

  • So I wish you to fall in love with a good woman, and that she'll love you forever, Inshallah.

  • I drift in the evening, thinking and struggling, I am like a Boat capsized and though I lament and suffer still I see no Solution. But why should I be so hard betrodden? In hundred Years everything is forgotten. So then I sooner put an end to the Struggle and go to Sea with my paining Soul. The world will find me there sometime later so bitterly drowned to death. But why should my end be so rotten? In hundred years everything is forgotten. Translation of the song.. Am i Right??

Gutreta lumsk, cervtui in aki la cu!

  • fyfan, jag älskar den här låten!!! =)

  • soulseek

  • Helt sikkert

  • Enig!

  • Oh, how I love this song!

  • which language is it? norwegian or danish?

  • norwegian

  • I love the song, I already watched it 5 times in a row !!!

  • I drift in the evening, thinking and struggling, I am like a Boat capsized and though I lament and suffer still I see no Solution. But why should I be so hard betrodden?
