Belly dancing didn't originate as a suggestive and seductive performance. Rather, it was a dance of celebration. Weddings, festivals, birth of a child, etc. Men, women, and children alike would dance this way. Wow, I wish I could have moved like that when I was her age. I had to do Ballet, Tap, Step, and Jazz I would have loved to Belly Dance. It is so much fun!
