And Nissan started building Skyline GT-R's in those days too. The Corvette, well, it may be made of plastic but the ZR1 is one of the fastest road cars ever built. And both Porsche and Ferrari have been using various plastics in their cars for many years. On top of that, Lotus builds cars out of plastic, and look how good they are.

I was just notcing that. Having a digital speedo must be quite terrible if its anything like that. Even if it updates instantly, having an anolog speedometer gives you a better sense of how fast you are accelerating. Its easier to take account how fast the needle is moving vs how fast the digital numbers are rolling

Well traction control is all the way off. I had the pleasure of being in the passenger seat of one for 3 full speed laps at Interlagos in Brazil. Trust me, this car will push your shit in. Its business is traction. SO much weight in the back. SUCH huge tires. All this car understands is traction. You have to clutch kick the living Jesus out of it to slide it.

big difference. a real drift is when you are already sideways before the turn and slide sideways throughout the drift and maintain your speed / accelerate on the way out. a power slide or "power over" is when you turn in to the corner and then slide out. power slides can be done with front wheel drive cars with enough speed and using the ebrake. but it is impossible to drift a fwd because it can not maintain it's speed or accelerate out of the slide.

BUT, I think he should enter the corners sideways rather than break loose near the end of the corner, thats not much drifting, thats just breaking loose the rear of the car while already turning then steering to correct it. 1. This video isn't about drifting. 2. It would be stupid to enter sideways in a rear-engine car with a cliff and rocks around. 3. Would be slow and useless. 4. The driver has very high skill level. You can't catch a 911 as easy as front-engine RWD car. 5. There is no rule that says the car has to be sideways, you're making it up.

i took the GT3 over the turbo but you cant compare these cars, they are really different than each other, gt3 is for fun, harder, noiser, lower, its faster- if you know wen to change gear up to 180km, lighter. turbo is smoother, more comfortable, more options,quiter,wider,4wd..... you make up ur mind, peace

I drove a porsche 997 carrera S with tiptronic here in germany, also on autobahn @200+ kmh. It is a very good shifting, but I would never buy a porsche without manual.

I dont know what x51 is but the stock gearbox is more than good, I would prefer doing some weight tuning instead.

i think the x51 kit was only for the turbo 996.

now for the 997 stuff it doesn't exist. The 997 turbo has a turbo boost sort of button that raises the power by 20hp or so for only 15 seconds or something like that.

i think the 996 carrera had an available engine enhancement package for 8,000USD. Which didn't make sence because then you had a carrera with less power than a GT3 but cost almost the same.
