  • @tyty101696 I sell audio learning tracks for all the songs on my channel. Please email me if you are interested in my services. All the info is on my channel page. You should remove your email address, my channel gets a bit of traffic and you could potentially get a lot of spam. ;-)

  • Boy do I love your stuff. When I first discovered YouTube years ago I went looking for Barbershop and didn't find much of quality. When I finally found your postings I was in heaven. Not only do you sing well, you choose the best songs. I've gone through your entire repertoire more than once. I hope you'll keep putting up new material.

  • @jjorsett Ah, thank you, I'm delighted you enjoy my work! Yes, I'll continue publishing, for sure. In fact I released a new video yesterday! ;-)

  • Played Harold Hill all summer long at the Crighton theatre in Conroe TX outside Houston.....had a blast...thanks for bring back those memories.....Ooohhh boy....we worked and worked on our quartet...but you know...by the last week of the run.....they sounded just like you in this.......!!!..haha..only took 14 weeks...haha

  • Who Cares if he looks like a half awakened lumberjack?

    DID you hear his voice????????

  • I think the toussled hair is quite charming. He has PLENTY of videos where he's all guissed up for the camera. and quite impressive, too!!

  • @trudbol because there are three random dislikes on this video.

  • Thumbs up if you hate it when people dislike something just for the sake of being and idiot.

  • "So here is my love song..." best harmonies ever.

  • A fine singer, a classic song, and brilliant use of technology! Wonderful

  • @geminijef No need to be unpleasant about it. Just look at when the video was published and do the math.

  • @trudbol You're just fine, ignore silly remarks. It's a gorgeous piece of music coming from a fine instrument.

  • @trudbol

Dear trudbol, Love your site and your "Lida Rose" among your other songs.

I found your site very early this a.m after finding Frank Stanley and his "Auld Lang Syne" and Blanche Ring and her many songs, both I had never heard of before.

Also finding you are a true gentleman after reading your kindly response to geminijef.

    What wonderful finds.

  • @grafonolafavorite Thank you! Plenty more A Cappella coming in 2012! ;-)

  • Yours is easily my favorite version of this song, and this song is one of my favorites! Sigh of pleasure....!!!!

  • I had to share it on Facebook. I'm involved in theater, and my theater friends and family would soooo appreciate this!

  • @DavCynLondon Thank you! I also sang "It's You" more recently with (hopefully) a better sound and video quality.

  • This is amazing! Sometimes the best way to match your voice is by your own which you did perfectly! This is one of my favorite musicals which I was in back in high school. I played Marian the Librarian. :)

  • @bluescoonie06 And I was Harold Hill back in the day. What can I do, my dear, to make it clear? ;-)

  • @trudbol Haha...that is quite a coincidence! (not surprised though judging by the great quality of your voice) ;)

  • @trudbol i played the bass in the quartet :)

  • @YAKICable .Say Ice Creeeeeeeam! Doooooown heeeeere!

  • @bluescoonie06 I am playing Charlie Cowell girly-girl! :D

  • Great. Beautiful singing! Congrats.

  • @HenryMuldrow Thank you! I've posted several other one man barbershop quartet videos since. This was my first, a while back. ;-)

  • You really need... a barbershop 8-D

  • @zunzipop Hohoho

  • @trudbol I hope you are not offended!! :-)

  • @zunzipop Nah... It's a good thing I cut my hair since and made many more and hopefully better a cappella videos. ;-)

  • @zunzipop not a smileyface

  • "chapel bells CHIME" is the most kick-ass chord.

  • This should be in the next Fallout game.

  • @GamingGrinds Thanks! Feel free to show some of my work to your friends and help me get my music out there! Thanks ;-)

  • Yep, 2008 was a bad hair year.... :D........ It happend to me too. Love your singing.

  • Excellent work! I've been wanting to do the same thing for a while. I have a pretty big vocal range but I've always thought about utilizing the morning low for an all-me a'capella piece. Thanks for the inspiration! XD

  • rnt these ppl the same? 0.0

  • @pinkyxyz123 I don't understand your question.

  • @trudbol but dont u see?? they all look the same so i think they're just the same person at different angle from different cameras.... the question is, where did he get all the different voices?? 0.0 note how they're all blond, they all have beards, they're all wearing headphones, none of them are wearing glasses, and their faces all look the same!

  • @pinkyxyz123 LOL. I have *red* hair, my pride and glory. ;-) The reason the voices sound a little different is that the high parts are much too high for my voice so I sing falsetto, and the low voice is my morning voice after drinking the day before. But it's all me I assure , no cheating! ;-)

  • didn't noticed this until today.

very harmonic, you are the best, every part <3

  • @DatKleinChaos Thank you ;-)

  • didn't noticed this until today.

very harmonic, you are the best, every part <3

  • I find myself coming back to your videos over and over. Guter Mond is a particular favorite. You have a wonderful voice and the comedy you put into some of your videos is great as well. Thanks so much for going to the trouble to make these.

  • @jjorsett Thank you for your kind comment. These videos are indeed a lot of work (and fun) to make. You can show your support by purchasing my singles on iTunes (link on my channel page) and by donating (link also available on my channel page). Cheers ;-)

  • You are brilliant! ;o

    Marry Me?

  • @MelGoesCrazy Danske schön, I'm glad you enjoyed my one man a cappella quartet. There's more on my channel too. ;-)

  • Oh, Yeah!!! That was sweet... but I'm male and a Bass, and biased... =}

  • @louswire Haha. I had a decent bass voice that day. I'm a baritone, so it's nice to get a loud E2 every now and then. ;-)

  • Wow! This is fabulous! I'll bet it's a lot of fun to put together.

  • @pack15531 Thanks! Yes, it sure is a lot of fun. It's also a lot of work, what you hear are my best takes for each of the four voices, but there were many more... ;-)

  • Holy cow, man, you're wonderful! ;)

  • @pookie98368 Thanks! There's more one man barbershop on my channel! Cheers ;-)

  • Ah, it seems you had the same idea I had, please ignore my first post. Wonderful job

  • @acheron14 Thank you! And again, give it a shot yourself! ;-)

  • Great work. Sounds superb.

  • @baillar100 Thank you, glad you enjoyed the show! ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • @trudbol I'm wondering: what score are you using? Thanks.

  • @baillar100 I used a transcription by ear. ;-)

  • @IrisheyesonJesus #LOL Good point. Check out my more recent videos for a zestfully clean face.

  • Really this is the bom!!!

  • @MrBenPablo Thank you! ;-)

  • Tudbol. I took time out to go home and clean my house for a bit today....which led to playing my euphonium....working on Music man songs....after hearing your rendition I am going to have to practice a whole lot more before I settle for "good enough"...or else find a new pastime!

  • @roadmasterrod Well, I'm glad you've got the Music Man fever, it's such a fine musical with lots of catchy tunes. Keep practicing and post your recordings on YouTube. Don't wait to be perfect to post something, it's much better to put stuff out there and then improve through feedback. Cheers ;-)

  • What a pleasure! Bravo! Great idea, great song, and of course, a great talent to have the range and the ear to pull it off. Keep it up. North Dakota.

  • @roadmasterrod Thank you very much! ;-)

  • Great range, and 100% in pitch , amazing job.

  • @forest3823 Thanks! ;-)

  • Amazing! I am in awe of anyone who can sing all four parts, and you do it beautifully. You do not seem to be reaching for the high notes in the Tenor, and you do not get gravely in the low notes of the Bass. Way cool.

Is that a Barbershop Society arrangement? I would love to order sheet music. You have inspired me. I must learn this song!

  • @dglass3090 Thanks! Check out my channel for more a cappella tunes! ;-)

  • I absolutely love this! You are very talented! Keep it up =)

  • @mysticalcolour Thank you! Do check out my other a cappella videos too! ;-)

  • Oh my lanta your voice sounds so classic :)

  • We should all call you The Music Man :)

  • God, I adore this song! You're quite good; you've got a good range and a very good blend.

  • I love this! I've been spending my evening listening to you... watching your videos... you need to be on television!!

    And, you're super cute, too!

  • Very nice!

  • Brilliant!!, The Osmond's would be proud of you, I wish you lived in my street.

  • @Rontazzy Thanks a bunch! Cheers from France

  • Wow you are amazing I am in LOVE with your sound!

  • @leslielovesbilly Thank you! ;-)

  • Yet another nice, old-style barbershop.

  • @trlkly Thanks! ;-)

  • 8 thumbs up!

  • @sbriscar Thank you!

  • Darn you, Sir! I can't get you out of my ears now! I hear this throughout my day, and try to duplicate your baritone. I'm sure my friends think I've lost it.

  • @FLSHBK1 Thank you very much for your nice comments on my videos, thanks and... sorry! ;-) I hope you get a chance to check out my more recent a cappella productions as well, there's more barbershop too! Cheers and thanks again, made my day!

  • You've come such a long way since you recorded this video. But I still enjoy it! Even your videos back then had a kind of charm that most other multitrackers' videos lack.

  • damn your good!

  • @MrJellybean19 Thank you! Please check out my channel for more a cappella!

  • really nice :)

  • @philjay666 Thank you!

  • 2 people dont have a lida rose

  • This is terrific. You are talented. Thanks for posting it.

  • @JimThayer Thanks! Check out my channel for lots more a cappella tunes! Cheers

  • Hi, why did you decided not to sing it in the original key? (F#) Are you singing it in Bb, aren´t you?

  • @gerPzoidberg It was easier for me to sing it a little lower. It made the tenor line doable while keeping the bass in my range as well. Cheers

  • @trudbol really? I thoght you did it becouse it sounds better, and so it does... much better. I'm sure you change some notes aswell, and the result is nice aswell... Very good work

  • Awesome!!! Professional work! :)

  • VERY GOOD DUDE AMAZING

  • Are you reading the notes as you record, or do you study first and then record?

both ways quite difficult, and still amazing, you know you are so great, I wonder, do you plan on making a song yourself, or are you more likely to convert words into music?

  • @ImaginaryMdA I memorize the song completely before singing. I think it's a bad idea to sight-read when you sing, because you focus very locally on a few notes and you lose story-telling. This is my first multitrack of all, so I filmed myself in a quick 'n dirty way. I'm actually looking at my screen, watching the audio time line in Audacity, in order to stay in sync with the track I'm hearing in the headphones. Cheers

  • That was really amazing!!

  • Hey man, these (plus your range) are amazing! could you please tell me where u got the sheet music? I've been trying to find it everywhere to do this song with some guys from my choir, and we cant find it :(

  • @MrMiniRankin Thanks! Check out the info section of my channel, I've posted several web links where to get sheet music. And feel free to share my videos with friends, I'd appreciate it! Cheers

  • Outstanding! Close harmony like that is very difficult to sing, especially the harmony parts that seem unrelated to the melody when you read them off the page. I have heard this number mangled by so many "quartets" actually singing it together, it's amazing to see this multitrack do it so well! Thanks for posting this. It's now in my favorites.

  • @Largo64 Thank you Larry! Yes, making these videos isn't easy (Lida Rose was my first, in fact), but it sure is fun and the result at the end is sometimes a pleasant surprise. Thanks for dropping by and commenting. Cheers

  • That was awesome. Only complaint, you spelled baritone wrong haha. AWESOME though

  • @imsotravelsized Thanks, glad you enjoyed the show! As for the spelling, both "baritone" and "barytone" are correct spellings, depending on where you're from, I just double checked in a dictionary. ;-) Feel free to share my video with friends, I'd appreciate it! Cheers

  • Well done!

  • @englanddg Thank you! Cheers

  • This video should be in black in white :)

  • if only there were more people on youtube like you....

  • @MasterOfDisguise116 Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the show!

  • thank you so much =]

  • Bravo!

  • @jrshipe0 Thank you!

  • Where did you get this sheet music? I haven't been able to find this, Sincere, or Goodnight Ladies

  • @DSdude3 I bought it on the internet. Check out the info section of my channel, there are several helpful links to sheet music. Cheers.

  • This is the best that I have ever heard this song! Wonderful, wonderful job! This sounds lovely!

  • @LeahNadine4 Thank you very much, I appreciate it. Cheers

  • THAT'S BRILLIANT!

  • @elfdreams3 Thank you!

  • Very brilliant. Wonderful tones. Cheers.

  • ohh no the last video in list saw now all f the videos which you share with us on you toube

I realy like them! pls never stop

  • That's really sick dude!

  • hey - that´s kind of cool!! Liked it!!

  • this is so amazing... you're an amazing singer!!!

  • really good! enjoyable.

  • Beautiful voice(s)! Perfect harmony. I did a multitrack once and it's ROUGH

  • I've been trying to sing "Will I ever tell you" along with your clip lol

tricky though, but I already enjoy just watching you sing ;)

  • Your voice... It's amazing. Awe-inspiring. Thanks for sharing this.

  • Do you have a favorite part to sing? And, when you sing bass, do you have to do that part of the song in the morning? I tend to prefer to sing in the bass range, but I can handle all parts ( and I can sing freakishly high). I hope you are applying your vast talents to other art forms, as well. :-) Keep the whole world singing!!

  • exquisite!! how delightful! much appreciated

  • This is just amazing. Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing and hearing a lot more.

  • Excellent production. The singing is top rate, and the video production and synchronization is very good. Thank you so much for sharing this with everyone.

  • nice job. do you have a myspace page?

  • ok so I L O V E your voice!!! Terrific! It's a very romantic sound =)

  • last low bass note is beast.

  • Cool!

Your lead should be brought up a bit, but other than that, rocking performance!

  • There are no words that I can use here to convey how very impressed I am by what you have done here. I love Barbershop harmony and your sound is PERFECT. If you were actually 4 different people, there would be no competition, you would be the world's champion, hands down. Do you know the Lennon Sisters? Four little girls from the 1950s that sang in barbershop harmony learned from their Dad and Uncles. Please check them out. You have a new fan in Richmond VA, You are VERY talented, indeed.

  • @meirishguy Wow, thanks, I'm flattered. This was my first Youtube so-called "multitrack", and hopefully I've made progress since. I'll check out Youtube for the Lennon Sisters, thanks for the tip. Cheers!

  • wow...awesome man....subbed :D

but how do u put all 4 videos together?

  • @lloydino Thanks. I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio. I put up a small FAQ list on my channel page regarding software/hardware and where I get my music from. Cheers

  • Awesome, one of my favorite songs, from one of my fave Musicals...

  • Ah I was hoping you did this one! Yay!

    Music Man is the best.

Great job! These videos are all impressive. What a range!

  • I sing in a barbershop chorus in the U.S., on the west coast. It's a small group, about 40 or so, and we all have various backgrounds in music. (myself, I play guitar and piano, but I do it more for my own amusement), but I like the group a lot. My skill level is not at the point where I can be in a quartet, but that is what I'm aiming for.

  • This is extremely good !!

My dad used to do this kinda multitrack recording on a reel to reel tape recorder for fun.

He would sing all the parts just like youre doing.

    but ..

Youre doing it a lot better..

  • Man you shouldn't be in there singing infront of the cam! You should sing on a bar or something like that!

  • Considering that you are from France, Your "English" singing sounds "american" to me. You must have a serious influence, or you are from "here". And, why don't you start a barbershop chapter in France?

  • You should be a director.

  • how did you do this? this is incredible. Your sound surpasses that of the buffalo bills.

  • Who turned you on to barbershop? Who are your influences? This might not sound "right", but for someone who is from France, you have a lot of American influence in your singing. This is meant to be a compliment.

  • You sir, are my new hero!

  • I love the "old tyme radio" sound of your vocalizations!

  • That was really cool dude!

  • Please keep posting more vids. These are my favorites! Thanks.

  • You are amazing, dude. I wish I could find some guys in Topeka to do this kind of music with.

  • I like the hair. It's a great gimmick; it reminds me of a bunch of twenty-something "slackers" I know. :-)

  • Impressive talent. Thank you for the wonderful music.

  • Hey, I love the music, but man... it looks like there's a mountain on your head! Fix your hair.

  • that is AWESOME well done

  • yeah.....all kudos deserved.....you definitely have a "sweet" sound to your versions....harmony and clarity being more important than ringing hard notes.

    keep it up !

  • Dude, that's it! a sweet sound. I don't know the extent that you might have listen to barbershop harmony, the preference is the hard "ring". I like the harmony and clarity, myself.

  • hehehe...I'm a novice barbershopper...only because It's hard to find other acapella singers at my age ( 48 )....but yes.....I know the barbershoppers like long hard posts and overtones a-plenty....but a sweet sound is what gets ME.....and Trudbol has a nice clean sound ...I wish he was in Canada !

  • dude u have a gift...thats incredible. keep up the good work!

  • This is great. You're kind of rushing through it sometimes (man, you definitely have the vocal power to stay a bit on the "same"!) but it is truly one of my favorite tunes on my IPOD now. Thanks and DO keep up the good work!
