I've played silent hill since it came out, I was a kid back then and I scared alot when I played it, so Im a big fan of this saga and to be honest, theres nothing to complaing about this game, has a nice music great story and the most easy way to fight the monsters (and the nurses are hot ^^) Im so happy silent hill hasnt lost its trail like RE did, if you complain that this game isnt scary its because you are a grown up now.

Fucking assholes need to learn how to make a game. How the fuck was I to know where and HOW to hit the final boss? In previous Silent hills it was pretty clear cut where you just have to manage to shoot the boss which was a challenge in itself but not with SHHC NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (sarcasticly) We here at Konami have to make it a fucking world of warcraft boss battle with the rediculous shit YOU have to figure out with NO fucking clues.

Like you know how to kill it and you can now. If all games were so straight forward I don't think I'd enjoy any of them. :)

The worst aspect of this game is the endless puzzles and rooms you have to explore in addition to all the "broken locks".

I've played all silent hills, and this is a great game. I don't know why people says that this game sucks. It has a great history. Damn! I cried in this part when Alex realized he killed Joshua by accident...

However, silent hill 2 is still the best IMHO

Homecoming is very interesting, sure it is the worst Silent Hill ever, but it show us something interesting about people: people wanted busty sluty nurses, lots of combat, lots of blood and gore, rusty metal and, of course, Pyramid Head. homecoming comes right after sh2 for me, so i don't know what you mean by "sure it is the worst Silent Hill ever" - your opinion isn't the opinion of everyone else. Homecoming has a great story, good mechanics, and i don't see the reason why 75% of the people complain about Pyramid Head; his role fits perfectly into the world of Homecoming.

@capcomfan20 ***spoiler***...it's a long story. basically all the parents of shepherd's glen (the town they lived in) had to choose a child of theirs to sacrifice to god so that silent hill won't 'take over' shepherd's glen. the dad picked him (alex) and was mean to him because, i quote "I had to make sure he never felt love or joy and all those things that make life great....it would be easier for him (to die), and easier for me (to kill him).." basically his dad felt guilty.

I always thought that after the other three monsters reflected the regret of their sacrificing their children, that this one relfected Alex's subconscious regret of him killing Josh. As for the pregnancy being a very fundamental part of the game like the sclicer monster having a head coming out of it's pelvis to represent childbirth as well as the baby crying in the opening hospital level. I dunno. Just random thoughts. =P
