1 Cor 12 KJV are NOT the Gifts of the Holy Spirit but are Manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Manifestation is a "SIGN" that shows the Promise has come.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are 7 & listed in Romans 12: 5-8 KJV. The NWO has robbed men of the 7 gifts by changing this Truth in many translations & have lead many astray. We will be judged by our Stewardship of these 7 Gifts Amos 9:9, Matt 25: 34-46. The Lord says an evil & adultrous generation seek after signs

Questions:1) How normal is it for a Christian's "gift mix" to remain unchanged since childhood but intensified after Holy Spirit baptism? 2) Do you believe we are born with certain gifts from God that can only operate and mature if we turn to Him, and only according to His will? 3) Do you believe it's OK not to ask much for gifts but mostly seek God for who He is? 4) Do you know anyone who has discerning of spirits in conjunction with a seer gift?

actually, the Azusa Street Revival taught that speaking n tongues is the evidence that someone has been filled wit the baptism of the Holy Spirit (not salvation, wich is a seperate experience from Spirit baptism), wich further leads 2 the other spiritual gifts. tongues is 4 all, that is y all were filled with the Spirit & speaking n otha tongues on the day of Pentencost. but there r some who hav been gifted with a language unknown 2 them, that others can understand. this is the gift of spirit.

The Azusa Street teaching was not that one is not saved if he speaks in tongues. Seyemore believed in 'saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost' as three distinct steps. Other Pentecostals at Azusa Street believed in 'saved and filled with the Holy Ghost.' The idea of not being saved if you don't speak in tongues characterizes the Oneness Pentecostals,a movement that started several years later.

Have you heard of a variety of baptism in the Holy Spirit where someone is overcome with weeping (joyfully, not sadly)? This happended to me in 2005 at church, very noteworthy because I never do this kind of thing in public, normally. I was consumed with the presence of God and even uttered a sentence or two in tongues (although I had to "start up" the speaking on my own, it sure sounded "other-worldly"). Just wondering.

Why do people speak of the holy spirit as something that exist outside the person. If a person is filled with the spirit, the spirit is an agent that abides in the believer. It doesnt hit you. It is the spirit of God dwelling in the believer. I think many have this all backwards. The holy ghost as the bible calls it is to empower the beliver to be an effective witness for Christ.

Also, you mention the Azusa revival, it was sort of incorrect. They taught the need for sanctification and holying living through the doctrine sanctification thus the need for the Holy Ghost. For the bible says for without holiness shall no man see God.

Now if we no longer live in the era of covenantal transition wherein God was changing His dwelling from the symbolic, man-made temple to the true, heavenly Temple in the heart of His redeemed people; and if the destruction of unbelieving, old covenant Israel and its imperfect temple took place in A.D. 70, then it is manifest that tongues ceased by A.D. 70.

That's a lot of interpretation to get to your own conclusion. The Scriptures teach NO WHERE that the Gifts of the Spirit would cease. As it is written in Acts 2, the Gift is to all whom the Lord our God calls! We need His supernatural gifts more today than any other time in history (aside from the birth of the Church). Joel 2 says that the LORD, in the last days, will pour out of the Spirit upon all flesh... My friend, it is still the "last days" because Christ has not returned in power yet!

To sum up, prophecy, knowledge and tongues came to an end when:

1. the Church became the TELIOS Tabernacle/Temple/Body of God through the work of the indwelling Holy Spirit,

2. when the Way into the heavenly, TELIOS Tabernacle of God was made manifest to all the saints,

3. when the non-telios, old testament tabernacle was thrown down by the judgment of God and the saints in the consummation of the old covenant age in A.D. 70.

God has given definite scriptural boundaries for the end of miracles. The writing of the new testament of necessity preceded the end of miraculous inspiration and the fulfillment of the day of redemption which it prophesied.

That which is perfect is not the canon of Scripture. It is the coming of the Lord Jesus at the Parousia! THat is when we will see "face to face" as that chapter says. Wake up: the Spirit is doing the very acts of the Book of Acts in the Body of Christ and the world in our time! So many missed the Messiah's coming (Yeshua of Nazareth); so many are missing the outpouring of the Spirit today!

Thanks for the video, this is the best video I listened to on the gifts. I believe I have the gift of discernment and also a very strong sense of gods love inside, but because I dont speak in tongues I am looked on a someone who has not been filled with the spirit and has not got the "power". This can lead to all sorts of judging of me by others. It is sad that god knows where we are but with people ,they require proof i.e initial evidence in tongues.
