  • I'm probably repeating myself but you ought to hear this through Bose headphones. :)

  • I think my friend "Kathy" may live near here. She can see trains from her deck and lives near CSX tracks. Great sound and video

  • I saw a yellow train going very slow. The other day in Buford. It had like 4 cars, and it had a bunch of engines or equipment on it. I also saw a guy who was rather dirty, and walking on one of the cars. After it passed, there was a White truck, on the tracks (with regular wheels), but it had train wheels installed on it. Do you know what it was?

  • I went over Main Street today and saw Q541 with a really short train. I looked just north of the bridge and saw a siding. Does that go to a Grain Plant or something? I saw a SD40-2 bringing about 5 grain cars out of the siding and I thought I saw a building next to the siding.

  • is that the bridge for hwy 41?

  • @leonuug it is the old us 41 bridge, now main street.

  • @CSXDixieLine oh ok, thanks. I live close to there.

  • @CSXDixieLine That's right, in that little church parking lot. I take my kids there now.

  • This is a wonderful shot! What kind of camera do you use?

  • I see that train all the time :) its in downtown kennesaw where they put all the old looking places like Whistle Stop Cafe, and that gun shop and all that.

  • Sound from 1:00 to 1:30 !!! :)

  • great shot, nice location too!

  • Nice shot. They've been running most of the trains on only one track on the double track stretches both through Kennesaw and Marietta so its made for some interesting railroading and a lot of headaches for the dispatcher.

  • What is MOW crew?? how often do trains stop?

  • the maintenance of way (mow) crews are the ones who install, maintain & repair the track, roadbed, crossings, etc. the trains usually dont stop in kennesaw; this one did because the mow crew was probably on the tracks around there. i did see all kinds of mow equipement around the depot where he was stopped.

  • moon is the end of the double track about 2 miles north of here.

  • Love it. Nothing like southern railroading!

  • Sweeet!

  • How come is moving so slow? A lot of horsepower..

  • they had just stopped at the cherokee street crossing, which is just around the curve at the beginning of the video. i THINK they stopped there because MOW crew were working at the crossing or on the nearby tracks.
