  • did the same thing with incandescant lightbulbs

  • How many people on Youtube continue to spread that candle lie. It doesn't work. Deal with it scumbags.

  • Comment removed

  • It works but why bother when new sensor cost £3!

  • "I love wii" couldnt have been put in a better way ;)

  • lol what a homo

  • What you do is you just put the candles right by the wii console for more accurate motion sensor, and then it starts your console on fire and you then have no motion dumb fucks... This is reatarded..why in the hell dont you just use the real motion bar...you look like a full blown retard.

  • u r gay why would u wanna do that any way

  • I've just tried, It's true, It works.

Ithought It wouldn't work, but its true.

  • Tried it, doesn't work. I have to buy a new sensor bar.

  • you have to take two candles on each side and make it the size of the wii senser bar

    thats it

  • it does work but perhaps might not work with some candles.

  • @d1664256 why would you have to buy a new sensor bar, did u think oh ill just use candles and throw my other one away. u could just un plug it

  • you lose at life...

  • I have just tryed it and it worked great for me, nice one!

  • you sound like you're abusing the person using the camera

  • He does sing! And he's gooooood :3

  • I don't get it.. the candles are not connected to the wii.. or are they?

  • no, they dont

thats cause the sensor bar is only a bar with infra red lights in them.

the only thing the wiimote needs is 2 light sources so it can calculate its position.

you could do that with 2 leds if they give enough light. or hell even 2 xmas trees if their light sources doesn't get in the way of the other.

  • oh I get it.. the wiimote calculates it's own position.. it's not the sensorbar that calculates the wiimotes position. the sensor bar only needs energy from the wii to emit IR light O.O.. is that the only reason of the wire on the sensor bar?

  • afaik yes

  • as long as its infer red, TV remotes will work, but your find a normal light bulb wouldnt do it as they dont transmit infer red.

  • i think they do,not sure tho

i know candles give IR light...

  • the dude is gay

  • That's so funny.

  • Of course... Fire emits IR light... genius man... i don't know why I don't think things like these :P it's completely logical... :P

  • cool >:D

  • niiiicee!!!

  • this works with lightbulbs (not very well) and basic infra red as well. I did this a while ago and it works fine, but tbh i done really want to play my wii with candles in front of them.

  • u sound fruty u homo

  • hey look zelda..

  • btw, you have an amazing voice... no joke

  • yeah, he's a good speaker. Do you guys know if it has to be on top of the TV? My friend got his repaired, and got it back in the mail without a sensor bar, and he says it isn't working. And also, do the separate kinds of candles make a difference?

I know why it works! The Wiis are made out of orphans!!

  • he didn't studder and he had a warming voice.

Who cares if it's indy or not, it's youtube.

    but yes, very interesting

  • go to ebgames and get a wireless sensor bar like $20

  • Do a Poop on this Wii candles it will be funny

  • LOL!

  • Its a sensor bar i think its a Wii munmunmunmun of cores it a sensor bar the is 2 sensor bars one is on the ground and the 2nd is at the back of the TV

  • yeah don't be mad cause you spend your time doing stupid shit while this guy does productive things with his life, just shows you're jealous

  • suck my balls mate. and why bother replying to a commment i left 11 months ago?

  • cos its funny, and a comment is a comment you twat, you leave it... it stays

  • lol sorry buddy, why dont you go find a woman for that job :)

  • Apparently English is not your first language. If it is, stop fucking raping it. Also, If that's you in your video logs, then you're nothing to get excited about either. Or to put it simplier, you're "U-G-L-Y" which is the correct spelling. And by "Affence" I believe you mean "offence". If you're going to go around annoying people and insulting them, do it right.

  • This is my boyfriend, and he's

hot. Fortunately for me, I could care less about what you say. Just thought I'd educate you in English, as it seems you are

    unfamilliar with it.

  • ok? u know what? i have a fucking hot bf and u dont have to correct me... that doesnt matter...

  • so randomhero u must b ugly 2 ta have 2 stoop that low just for a bf

  • why the fuck are you people all about how somebody looks?

and how the fuck would you call someone ugly and say no offence?

    god you're a dumbshit :)

  • WHAT THE FUCK?!?! INTERNET DRAMA IS SO STUPID! It's like racing in the special olympics, even if you win, you're still stupid.

  • thats wat makes it so addicting tho

  • The wiimote does the whole work the sensor bar just give out light. The cable is just to make enough power to drive the lights the wiimote does the whole connecting with the wii :)

  • Bah Candles do not give off IR rays! only God does!!

Belive in god! and God will give you the power to do it without the sensor bar!

  • fuck god, believed in him once but he tried to rape my grandma so fuck him..

  • im on my wii right now and i have 6 candles on top of my tv. 3 on each side it work almost perfectly until some air moves the flame and makes it all shacky

  • i have tried this and it worked. the only question i have is... how bored were you to try and find out if candles worked. maybe you lit candles and the sensor bar fell and you saw it still work

  • lol good one

  • its a miracle

  • dude that was awesome!!. don't listen to those assholes who make fun of you....¬_¬....bitches

  • HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?

  • the wii use no data form the sensor-bar , it sends out IR fequency light from 10 LED's , then the Wiimote use it to triangulate it's position , therefore the only thing you need is two light spot's on top of the TV so it can triangulate.

  • you know the wire on the wii sensor bar, that only provides power to 10 IRLED's in the bar. the IRLED's give out InfaRed light, that the wiimote uses to detirmine the location of the wiimote. candles also give out Infared Light, so therefor work the same. I have tested the Candles,Flash lights, remotes, DIY sensor bar, and N00b137s, al of them worked but the N00b137s

  • like da vid it is cool

  • *EXPLANATION*

*post this on every wii sensor bar video so those little N00b137s stop trying to disprove it*

  • too true

  • someone needs to put a wii, and tv on a sheet of glass, floating in the air, then take out the sensor bar on camara, and light 2 candles just for proof.

  • You don't need the candles. The Wii can operate without a sensor bar.

  • you're sped dipshit you don't know what you're talking about.

  • you can't point on the screen without it

  • wot a dick head corse he's gay!

  • this is great, with this you can use full functions of the wiimote on the pc without buying the wii, just the wiimote. (sensor bar comes with wii)

  • What's wrong with the regular sensor bar?

  • what proof do you need

candles create infa-red light and the wii remote recieves the light position and transmites it to the wii via bluetooth

  • Bender!

  • Now thats what I call some ingenuity. He must've been pretty bored or really into heat sensors.

  • You are Gay

  • You Sir, are an idiot :þ

  • @Nighthawk450 No, you're actually quite flamboyant, he's right. Don't talk quite so high pitched and people will stop accusing you of being gay... Also, LULULULUL HOMOFAG

  • @MisterPowers89 who the hell cares? can't a straight guy have a high pitched voice? Homophobia sucks

  • @DionKool Not homophobia, just simply pointing out to him that he fits the gay stereotype VERY well.

  • The idea is to comment on the VIDEO, not the person recording it. Please, you're being very rude. Also, calling someone gay just because of how they sound is descrimination, especially as homosexuality is about sexual preferances, NOT about how someone sounds. >.> Calling something "Gay" is an insult used by infants because they can't think of anything better to say, which shows how immature you're being.

Now, back on topic, that's really interesting. ^^ I might try it sometime. :)

  • Wii loves you too!

  • you guys dont have respect at all.

  • jesus christ all of you ppl are being assholes if u think its gay dont watch the video and so what if he has a high voice i think its cool it can be replaced with candles

  • can´t the candles be replaced by small incandescent light bulbs or may be some specific color LED? (red or IR I supose)

  • Damn. You like a Mister Wizard for the YouTube generation.

  • So instead of wasting candles, why don't you just use the sensor bar?

  • fake

  • It's not fake. >.> Did it myself last night, it just tends to flicker. The sensor bar transmits LED which the Wiimote picks up, fire does the same. Thus, works on the same principle.

  • How does it work?

  • good experiment, but that guy is annoyingm i wanted the candle to fall and light his wii on fire

  • cool wen i get my wii and i will most diff break it ill use candels

  • This video helped a friend of mine who's rabbit ate the sensor bar's wire ! He does actually use candles right now... !

  • I heard you can use christmas lights too.

  • this is just for ppl that like break or lose sensor bars and don't got money for another one

  • excuse me, how do you link wii to candles?

  • It isn't a h4x gosh the sensor bar isn't a "sensor" the light fromt he sensor bar is like a mirror to make it a different wave to send it to the wii like the candles it does the same thing. Lots of noobs say hey why is there a cord then?? It's because the cord is to power the "sensor" bar to provide the light.. As the candles rely purly on the flame to produce the light... I hope this comment helped alot of Nubs.

  • eww ginger

  • I find that hard to believe, yet there it is. You talk to the camera girl like your younger sister... is that your younger sister? Also, your voice sounds a LOT younger than you look.

  • No, thats not my little sister, thats my girlfriend, but she sometimes gets really annoying when it comes to the video camera. And when i say "don't you touch that" that was directed at the dog :)

And thanks! on the voice thing :)

  • OH GEEZ, THAT IS THE LOWEST..never mind. its still WORKS ^ ^!

  • nice h4x

  • the amish wii has come to be!

  • Great video. :D
