@natpierce2008 Sorry I didn't respond sooner to your question. There's really no trick. I just used a small glue dot on the center of their body then placed them on the cardstock. Next I lightly pinched their wings together. That was it. I used patterned paper that was on the thinner side. So if you're using cardstock their wings might not stay up as well. I hope that helps. If you have any more questions let me know! :)
Hi Tiki - I just love this so much and would love to make for my 2 year old twin girls. I have a question though. How do you apply glass over the butterflies when they are open as wouldnt the glass flatten them? thanks in advance,
@natpierce2008 Hi! Thank you for your comment! The frame is a Shadow Box frame. So there is a gap between the butterflies and the glass. That way embellishments and layers can be added and not flattened by the glass. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching! :)
i made a card like that for my bff, it was 4 by 3 butterflies. she adores butterflies. i pinched them together as well. sadly i didn't have them stamp, so i traced the martha stewart butterfly stamp pics on the the internet a cut out each individual one. she love it, and the card stock i use. i use the " all dressed up GLITTERED" stack for chapters. i made sure the butterflies were glittery. best of all, the glitter was coated with some transparent gloss so the glitter didn't flake off !!!!
@lilylucy2CLT Glittered butterflies are so beautiful! Wow, you cut them out by hand! You're a true BFF! I've had to do that before when I didn't own a punch or die cut. Just make the best of it and save some money too! I bet your card was beautiful and I'm sure she loved it! That paper stack is really pretty! Thank you so much for your comment and sharing with me! :)
@mebredesigns Thank you so much!! It was fun to make. You can really dazzle it up too. Have fun mebredesigns! Thanks for watching and leaving a sweet comment. :)
