A 370-400rwhp auto stock bottom end LS1 is barely getting pulled on by a 402 stroker LS2 with heads cam intake and obviously exhaust? 402's make 450-550rwhp N/A depending on how big of a cam you go with and how nice the heads are.
no....stage 3 srt-4's make around 350 hp and run mid 12's at ~110-112 mph. that's what an ls1 f-body does with full bolt-ons. A 402 ls1 AT THE VERY MINIMUM is making 425 hp AT THE WHEELS, trapping AT LEAST 120 in the 1/4 mile.
sorry, unless that neon is spraying or something like that, the race just doesn't add up.
Ive seen certain stage 3's put over 400 to the wheels.. and depends on what 402 he put in.. when u talkin 402 damn thing NA can make anywhere from 375 to 575 at the crank easily
@cliffabrown, I'd have to agree with you man. Its pretty easy to get 400+ horse with just heads. Add a cam, lifters, rockers, intake, throttle body, and exhaust and you could pull upwards of 500.
