With the right to govern would be the responsiblity to fund your own defense. You should know that many countries would take the opportunity to invade Hawaii and then you would have nothing at all.

Hawaiians have had the same opportunities as other Americans for many, many years. Honestly.
Even now, they get special rights for property in Hawaii. Over others. I realize they were backward when whites came. However, whites helped them by educating them or they would be even more backward in the world today.

@666metal666death666 LOL imagine the scenerio of whites demanding separating themselves and driving out every other race! The Queen of Hawaii signed over her throne, her kingdom and hawaii. Now hawaiians want a do-over. Imagine some white guy in a fight with BJ Penn taping out then later demanding he didn't really mean the tap out and couldn't he have a do-over. HA!

well if all the reps really knew what the hell they were talking about .. perhaps my family wouldn't be struggling to fight for the rights of their own Kuleana land on us soil.
Its a sad fact but its happening to us and no matter which way people want to look at it, the Hawaiians are loosing their lands to the high cost of taxes and other heinous acts

@piilani99: I do not know the specifics of all of this BUT if the Hawaiian people are sick of being screwed by the U.S. government as a great number of us are here in the states, you should consider secession. This government has become a tyranny that has NO respect for the Constitution, the law of the land.
If you wish to stay a part of the U.S., then I think Mr. McClintock is right. Frankly, I wish most of the states would secede.

@RedTulie1 When someone is incapable of wrapping their minds around complex issues, he/she puts forth the destruction of the whole. You support racism as long as you are the race getting the advantage. What about giving the white race the advantage for having taken care of everyone else through money and civilizing.
