It just illustrates a powerful meaning of the bond Chip and Sonic made. They know that even now they are apart, Chip will always be there, as they are special friends that will never break away. They will never forget each other.

folks chip is in sonic generations in the trophy room and in the ending credits briefly. it would have been good if sonic payed him a visit when he was in rooftop run. they could have done so much more with sonic generation's storyline but they didnt and the story was so empty and felt so rushed. but its the gameplay that matters and there were no werehogs so its ok. the gameplay was perfect so the game is great

The first few times I heard this song I cried. This game remains one of my favorite Sonic games ever, mostly because of the music. If someone can push past the minor issues, and realize the werehog levels actually aren't that bad, they can see that this truly is an incredible game. So thanks Sonic Team for making such great music, and I hope to see more surprises like this one in the future Sonic games, good surprises anyway.

How did the day levels show off Sonic at his best? Sonic at his best is about momentum-based gameplay complete with exploration and depth. Sonic Unleashed is just corridors and a boost button. It's designed to appeal to the lowest-common-denominator. There is no skill involved in Unleashed, it's just a high-speed memorization game, and the levels are so linear. Sonic 06 was shocking but at least it was OPEN and there was actual platforming involved.

Sonic Colors was a big improvement, but Unleashed overall just felt like a failed experiment. It took away everything good about Sonic. It was just boost, boost, boost...... no skill, no platforming, horrible physics and no interaction! Straight paths over bottomless cliffs =/= good....

Have you actually played the original trilogy? The side-scrolling sections of Unleashed had totally screwed up physics that felt nothing like the momentum-based gameplay that made Sonic such a hit. Try playing the Classic and Modern sections of Generations side-by-side, the physics are worlds-apart. At least Generations has improved the modern formula from the horrible Unleashed daytime stages, building on very-good Sonic Colors.

@SeyMe2 That's all your opinion. I actually liked both Night time and Day time stages. The Day time stages really showed fans what Sonic's true speed is all about. The game overall was a combination of platforming, speed and agility, and hand-eyed coordination. If you've taken a look at the 360/PS3 versions, you would notice a lot of interaction and platforming.

Knowing that he has been sleeping for dozens of years, it can be easy for you to consider that he was sealed back safely. Even as he says to Sonic before he's gone, "On the part of the planet you tred, I'll be there. Always", that may tell you that he didn't really die at all.
