Girl wrestler earns place on boys varsity team

Yeah definately a lot of ignorance here. Girl is a National Champion, wrestles at U.S OPEN, and Worlds. Top of the heap girls wrestler made tough by all those matches against boys who were stronger, and some better. But it is all about heart - did she ever quit, did any of those losses break her, Obviously not. Kuddos to you girl - truely the stuff champions are made of.

Im a 16 year old girl and a junior in high school, im considering taking up wrestling. i dont feel it should only be a sport for guys, just like cheerleading should only be a sport for girls (which i am). Do you have any pointers or suggetions for me

Wow, I like how most of the things that guys have to say are totally negetive, but how they think by saying no offense they are alright. I'm a girl wrestler in the 171 class, 5'1", only 20% body fat. I wrestle guys all the time, and more than half the time I win. we have a disadvantage with muscle but wrestling is truly a sport based on skill. Dont try and make yourselves sound better by telling people youd be afraid to touch or harm girls... guys consider it an easy win and actually fight hard.

@Runz32 hey jackass, my body fat percentage was only 19% when i was in the 71's last month, now im a 52 pushing 45. and besides that point, i dont think you could survive one of my high school teams practices... i practice and condition just as hard as the boys for 3 1/2 hours 6 days a week not including competitions, and they dont give me any special treatment and i dont want any. oh and did i forget to mention that im ENLISTED in the U.S. Marines? I ship out after graduation. bitch

I know full well what girls can do on the mat. I wrestled in a low weight class so I had to wrestle girls many times and I beat almost all of them but I was very unlucky because this vietnamese girl who was some sort of judo champion transferred in from the middle school and took away my starting spot on the varsity.

@SammyPinned Not that I know of but maybe somewhere. I'm certainly not interested in checking but her name is Lily Nguyen and besides wrestling and judo she also played volleyball. I'm just glad nobody ever taped any of our practices. I feel really bad for the guys who have been seen thousands of times getting pinned by girls her on You Tube.
