@SAtownZ28 i cant say the defenders were bad when mj was around because like you said there was some great ball players that had defense scotty pipen and larry bird for some. but todays era every single player is a great defender unlike mj's era where only a few were, BUT what i will give mj is that back then the game of ball was much more physical unlike todays era where any little love tap was a foul. so in my eyes alot of things even out.

what? tmac had a season ending surgery last February. how did tmac lead them for 22 straight or in the playoffs when he was injured? yao ming is the center of the team, that's why they're trading tmac and not yao ming. yao was injured but still playing in the playoffs, unlike tmac who was on the sidelines.
tmac's 28 doesn't mean shit unless he can win, and frankly yao mings 19 won then a series so it's much more impressive

Possibly durant4796 but i'm not so sure. The problem was that T-mac's prime was so short lived. He took a bad rap in Orlando, my team, and his body fell apart on him. HE was sooo good though in his prime. Kobe could be better if you consider both primes.. I will give you the benefit of the doubt because I want to be realistic.

Oh also, when T-mac wanted to play D he was 1st team all defender. He was LAZY on defense 90% of the time, that was the problem. Now he is a shadow of himself and its sad to see :( I loved T-mac but hes going through something similar to what penny did in the latter part of his career.
