  • Just a tiny bit too melodramatic.

  • wouldnt the 2 side ship be shooting each other as well.

  • i loved this scene, but beckett's ship had about 60 cannons. wtf?

  • "Maybe if I walk slowly and don't notice the cannonball's, I can make it to one the boats."

  • i got to admit it, beckett died like a boss, but that's what he deserved for ordering to davy jones to kill the kraken! i loved that beast! :(

  • Got to admit, he did die in style!

  • Hans Zimmer<3

  • Beckett died like a boss

  • What's the soundtrack?

  • I'm pretty sure Keira Knightley is saying "Fire all"

  • @VenomShock

Thumbs up so people know!! If it was a mistake the company would have edited it and had her retake, it would be far too obvious for the final version.

  • its just... good bisuisness

  • 1:18 epic soundtrack part starts :O so amazing

  • the soundtrack for this movie is fucking epic!!!!!

  • How on earth did none of those splinters even touch Beckett?

  • @SpeedsterXS12 dying like a boss

  • This is SO satisfactory as hell!!!!!! (sorry for my grammar)

He and Jones and Blackbeard deserved to die (in my opinion)

  • as you know HMS Endeavour was a ship of the line well armed with more then 100 cannons so the question is why the hell did not open fire, if y was Bechett the Black Pearl and the Flying Duchman was rest on the bottom of the ocean

  • @massimotintin

yes and someone would of assumed control if he froze up. thats why i just cant take this scene seriously, i would of destroyed them both. the endeavor was in the optimal position to fight for a ship of the line, with its guns facing both targets. these ships frequently beat the s*ht out of each other for hours on end before one of them blew up, sank, or surrendered.

  • @massimotintin

you are right in the fact that the endeavour could destroy the black pearl, but it could never destroy the flying Dutchman. he will sink, and then return, the FD cannot be destroyed, just sunken.

  • considering its slow motion Beckett must be walking down those stairs pretty fracking fast XD

  • Beckett: double broadside!

Barbossa: well I'll be damned, he's got us!

  • Jack:fire

    gibbs:fire!

    will:fire!

    barbossa:fire!

    elizabeth:FYYRRAAAA!

elizabeth said fire all, but it's not clear.

  • Sucks cause Beckett is my favorite character.

  • And also, wouldn't the splinters have gone through his coat?

  • Who else is surprised Beckett survived for that long?

  • NOOOOOOOO. DDD:

  • Elizabeth didn't say Fyra. She said "Fire all" but it's not that clear... -.-

  • saw that movie tonite, most amazing movie an scene ever, especially the slow mo

  • i seen that scene yesterday

  • Que buena escena por la mierda... wea epica.

  • To me the difference between Beckett and the other villains (Barbossa Davy Blackeard) Is that he was a Real Tyranny that wanted to wipe out all Pirates. Those pirate captains were more like Anti-Heroes. Beckett was the most menacing

  • Beckett's ship looks a lot like the HMS Victory. Same colours, same cannon layout.

  • Comment removed

  • this is what u call a deal that backfires....

  • this is bullshit, what happened to the smoke before you die?

  • i love how all the wood splinters, debris, and shrapnel doesn't even make him flinch and just bounces off of him rather than impaling him. hes got pretty good focus and composure

  • Beckett knew even if he tried he would never win, so he walks down.

  • Beckett went out in a surprisingly composed way. Truthfully - I kind of respect that. The guy literally has everything around him blown to smithereens - and he just takes a calm stroll.

Talk about facing death with dignity.

  • wow.

lord beckett's last words were so EPIC!

    "it's just.....good business..."

    awesomest way to die EVER!

  • the only two people who would this like this is Elizabeth and beckett... LOL

  • Lord Beckett walking down the stairs with that string music is so epic!!!! And the cannonballs wouldn't have gone through the flagship Man o War of the British Navy

  • Why didnt Beckett say fire ?

  • @75roundhouse he ditnt stand an chance he was in batlle whit 2 of the most feared ships ever existed

  • I'll never understand how none of the cannonballs went through Beckket's ship and hit the ship on the other side. they would've had to.

  • i actually felt sorry for beckett , he was a victim of his own doing. even back then, it portrays how raw life was. war in any format, is unforgiving and final.

  • Why did Beckett do this again?

  • Beckett is such a badass... I'm not gonna lie.

  • Good business m8

  • episch: its just good bizniz. this is a best death at a movie

  • Elizibeth is saying "FIRE ALL!!" not fyyrraa.

  • this reminds me of field day. there were 3 teams. My team was called Endeavor. We lost. horribly.

  • she said FIRE ALL!!! not FYRAAA

  • Elizibeth: FYYRRAA!!!

    Me: Did you mean fire?

    Elizibeth (ashamed): yes :(

  • @TheAmazingZdog she meant fire all

  • @TheAmazingZdog I think she says Fire all.

  • @TheAmazingZdog she says fire all

  • @TheAmazingZdog she said fire all

  • @TheAmazingZdog

    She said "Fire all". :L

  • @TheAmazingZdog I'm pretty sure she says Fire All.

  • that fyra ruins the whole scene...nice job Keira Knightley

  • in real life that ship could have taken on both of them, and in real life they wouldent have been dumb enough to go broad side with a 4 level cannon ship.

  • @MrRandomusername01 HMS Victory would have boned them both.

  • @MrRandomusername01 you seem to forget that the flying dutchman was a ship of the sea.. a ghostship... it is more barnacle and coral reef then actual planking, if the dutchman really existed (maybe it does? :O) a pirate devil would have been at command of it, not a blacksmith.. and if the cursed dutchman boarded beckett then they would have been murdered.. but the black pearl would probably be smothered to pieces yes. :)

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 dude all shipd are ships of the sea, they wouldent be floating it they were and if it was made out of barnacles and reefs then it would have gotten blown up even easyer

  • @MrRandomusername01 no.. you dont get it, when i mean ship of the sea, i mean it literally... if the dutchman was somehow sunk ( most unlikely ) it would repair easily , it kind of draws togheter natural materials i guess, and i would be suprised if anyone even managed to not get destroyed by its 52 heavy pounders or mutated crew...

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 it only has 24 cannons broad side and the crew became un mutades after will became the captian and all the reefs and stuff fell off the boat, so myabe it could be sunken but the fact that the sea can repair it when it does sink give it unlimitted chances to sink a 4 level cannon ship

  • @MrRandomusername01 hmm, thats weird... cause wiki said it had 52 guns total. :P and the crew? yeah poor fellah's got un-mutated.. :( lol seriously though, if they didnt screw up davy jones awesomeness he would have owned any other opponent in his way, including beckett yeah. (imagine the Kraken vs the endavour :D)

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 yeah kraken vs endevour, that would be an awsome fight.

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 and it has 54 total, 24 on each side then 6 on the front with those 2 revolving canons

  • @MrRandomusername01 lol yeah now that i think of it, wiki lies.. >_>

  • @MrRandomusername01 lol you are so right. I just cannot imagine the result of a broad side attack like that to a flagship loaded with one hundred and more cannons... It's ok to defy all kind of logic in a maelstrom fight with sea monsters and gods, it is just ok for the kind of movie it is... But then you want an epic showdown with a conventional naval battle and I'm asking WHY?? WHY??

  • @PigreKo yeah the endevour has like 50 cannons broad side when the pearl and the flying dutchmen both have about 24 so even tho it was double broadsided it could have won but the captian had a nervious breakdwon lol

  • @PigreKo yeah the endevour has like 50 cannons broad side when the pearl and the flying dutchmen both have about 24 so even tho it was double broadsided it could have won but the captian had a nervious breakdwon lol

  • So proud flagship, fully manned and ready to fire on single word, ripped to shreds without any resistance, oh god...Endeavour was capable to pwn every single ship of pirate fleet with one full side salvo and even Dutch would be heavily outgunned...

    Fuck logic...

  • was really hoping to see a good fight between the HMS Victory agains Dutch and black pearl .

  • 0:18 "Orders sir, orders??' Groves said that to Barbossa in On Starnger Tides when they saw the Spanish. It's ironic he is under the command of a pirate who opend fire on him 4 years ago:p

  • haha 0:08 fail.

  • all beckett had to say was fire and they would have fucking dominated them

  • @MickityMickMick04 Your stupid ecause didn't you notice all those other ships in the end

  • @AwesomeAlan44 yes you tool i did, did you see all the guns on the endeavor compared the black pearl and the dutchman, at least 3 times as many, the british had way more ships and better fire power anyway, you are a fucking idiot bud

  • 2 people do not understand that "it's just...GOOD BUSINESS..."

  • 1:25-2:00 That was a very powerful moment.

  • just because of the way this was filmed, it has to be one of the most amazing cinematic sequences ever.

  • They should have edited the entire movie down to just this one scene.

  • to me, this is like in my top 10 of best scene ever made! that song and that way its shot make you feel sad for that dude to die! and he was a douche the whole trilogy!

  • Its a nice day for a stroll, whats all this debris? O SHI....

  • ''everybody is flying all over the place hmm.... hmmm hm... I guess I'll take a walk... hmm hmm it's noisy hmm... hmm... Hey! I feel fire on my ass! WHAT THE!! AHH!! oh shit why am I walking in slow motion ahhhhhhh!

    *Dies

  • I wonder how the two lieutenants survived and make appearance in the 4th film. Oh yeah I love Beckett's step of destruction

  • @woo1693 They jumped off the ship remember?

  • @MrGeneralJB Yeah but I didn't really expect the pirates to save them.... Unless they swam all the way to shore

  • The worst situation you can get in enemy fire and your commanding officer gets mad

  • amazing scene but the amount of cannon balls used to destroy that ship well out numbers the cannons on both pirate ships, including the cycling of the cannon reloading procedures lol, must of had machine guns on board, but love all the pirates of the caribbean :-)

  • @pagandreams1 Yeah and Dutch was carrying five Harpoons in case of really fucked up battle x)))

  • There is a sort of beauty to this scene that I find difficult to explain, even to myself.

  • @PlanBModels The Art of War.

  • @Bladenavor More than simply the destruction, I think it is a combination of the surreal imagery of Becket gliding tranquilly through the destruction unperturbed, and Tom Hollander's fine acting. His last act is to stare directly at the camera -at the viewer, in effect- as if to say "YOU know this isn't the way it's supposed to happen, don't you? You know that MY kind won and the seas became highways of commerce, right?"

  • Cool guys don't look at explosions.

  • What the hell are we all talking about now?!

  • where the fuck did all the other piratelords and there ships go, and then jack is the coward??!! yeah right.THUMBS UP

  • 1:18 it looks like a painting

  • **laughing maniacly**

And thats what u get for trying to control the sea devil.. lol

  • greatest death scene EVER.. Hail Beckett!

  • @helvete1991

    it's HEIL not Hail, jew

  • @123knura Yes you're right, if you're a brainless nazi (well, is there any other kind?). Seeing as I am neither brainless, nor a nazi (or a jew), I prefer to say "Hail"......

And I don't think the Beckett character is actually brainless, jewish or a nazi..... Dummkopf.

  • @123knura heil is German, hail is English. And why is he a jew again?

  • extreme

  • Okey this would be so much more awesome if the cannonball hitted Lord Beckett in the head when you hear Captain Jack Sparrow in the background shouting: HEADSHOT.

  • @lolhaha869 Go back to call of duty please

  • @McBlemmen Go Back To IWannaPullSomethingUp Land Please :)))))

  • @lolhaha869 what ...? Trying to be funny? Failed

  • It's just...good business

  • 2 people who disliked this didn't abandon ship

  • HANS ZIMMER FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "orders!! Orders Sir!" LOL What kinda orders your dead meat!

  • I am going to miss Gore Verbisnki's eye in the next movie. This scene is poetry with action. I hope the next guy can make such a wonderful job with the next part. It is not easy to direct a movie about Pirates. Renny Harlin broke Carolco Pictures with his infamous "Cutthroat Island". I hope we won't miss to Gore. Thanks for this wonderful trilogy of adventures, fantasy and Piracy, Gore. My favorite scene of all three: when Barbosa tells Elizabeth the history of the curse of the Black Pearl.

  • i love how beckett's officers are just like WTF MAN when he just says " It's just good business" when they ask for orders.

  • all becet had to say was fire and he would have destroyed both the black pearl and the dutchman.

  • i an one of the biggest pirates of the caribbean fan. i own all three and im going to the fourth one. this is probaly one of my favorite parts.

  • If I am dieing any time soon that is how i am going

  • i want to die like that . . .

  • She is saying FIRE ALL!

  • @Linkindigit no haha, she's attempting and failing to say "Fire"...oh well :P

  • FAIL he shud have said fire

  • fkin captain.why didint fight?:D

  • @darthveder14 Because he was so fucking shocked- didn't you see how he was whispering "Good business, it's just good business" ? Bekett thought that the Dutchman had betrayed him

  • 0:05 elizibeth: FYRA!!

  • Jack Sparrow: (cool and proud) "Fire."

    Gibbs: (relaying) "FIRE!"

    Turner: (rebounding) "FIIRREE!!"

    Barbossa: (commanding respect) "FFIIRREEE!!!"

    Elizabeth: (screwed up) "FFYYRRAAA!!!"

  • @kornrok1

    Elizabeth is saying "FIRE ALLLLL!"

  • @kornrok1 I was just thinking the same thing! xD

  • @kornrok1 I think shes saying "Fire all!" not ffyyrraaa! i dont think they would have left that in the movie.

  • @kornrok1 penelope cruz mops the floor with her sorry ass in POTC 4

  • @mythdoctor interesting

  • @kornrok1 she said FIRE ALL duh

  • @202MegaHomer202 hud LLA ERIF dias ehs

  • @kornrok1 lol? random much

  • quarter for your thoughts.

  • It would be funny if he got a splinter in his eye or something right before he died heheh

  • One of the greatest villain defeats of all time.

  • Wow the East India Trading Company is doomed by pirates!!!

  • why they didn't reverse fire? i think i shouldn't weit for order when i'm attacked

  • @Elensar007 Then the pirates lose, and that would make for a bad movie. Logic doesn't always belong in movies.

  • I'm ready for my closeup Mr. Davil.

No sorry we're killing you off. :)

    :(

  • The first mate was retarded, just yell fire moron

  • ha ha poor sucker

  • lol 1:21 , looks like Beckett is on an escalator...

  • @FrenchGelein this made me lol so hard, dunno why :)

  • @FrenchGelein imagine that happening on a mall escalator

  • The ship was blue and yellow it cant be defeated

  • play this on mute with Four Letter Words by Pete Sample and youll see how great it looks.

  • i swear this is the best ending and part of the entire series

  • this scene makes up for the otherwise awful movie

  • @BFTurk if you look at the movie in parts it wasnt that bad like elizabths speech or when they say they will work together in some ways it is great

  • LoL... not one splinter hit stuck him during his cinematic defeat walk???

  • @funnymanseven It's just...good editing

  • @funnymanseven Well, I know it was just good editing, but it could have been that he got hit by hundreds of tiny splinters without realising(due to lack of pain or just being shocked). That was a significant cause of disease after battles, tiny splinters carrying various bacteria end up getting flung under the skin without the person being hit noticing, then they get sick. Anyway that's just me overanalyzing a bit.

  • When ever I watch this ending I always saw to myself : COMEON....A three deck ship of the line could blow both those frigates in one broadside attack in its defence.... but its just a movie and I admit this is one of the most epic defeat scenes i have ever seen.

  • It's just good business

  • the catwalk of defeat

  • if thats in slo-mo how come i cant see the cannons

  • Really now? Forgive for whining but, a three deck ship of the line versus 2 at most heavy frigates? Should be an opposite slaughter

  • what a beautiful piece of cinematic action

  • I still find it hard to believe noone got a splinter

  • well, but he still had twice the numbers on cannons than both Pirate-ships together...

  • Trop triste T_T

  • Whats Good business?

  • @counterstrikenerd321

A formal way to describe great britain's colonial politics.

  • "Its just... Good buisness"

    "ABANDON SHIP!"

    "ABANDON SHIP!!"

    "ABANDON SHIP!!!"
