@MrAlpineArcher Last year I saw a guy pull out a broadhead out of a hogs back. It seam that someone shot it before he did during GG season. Those things are a tough beast to kill. I do a lot of hog hunting at the Green Swamp, there is 3 hogs per every hunter at the very lease. I only wish that Citrus would let you hunt more than 4 days for ML and GG. Archery gets a whole three weeks. Good luck to you this season..
@MrPlayerAG i live in clermont greenswamp is down the road when is the season for greenswamp pigs? and greenswamp west has some giant swwamp donkeys i had a fwc officer tell my uncle that he seen the next florida state record
@BigBuckDown211 I hunt the east unit, and have had some really big one go. Last year my buddy and I where up a tree when we saw one that had to be no less than 300lbs. He shot at it with his 30-30, but missed. We almost jump out the trees to try to get it, the palmettos are so thick there that we lost is. I wish you could have seen my buddys face...lol I got a early permit for November 24-27 then it goes to 750 per day at the gate. Archery is earlier, but I gun hunt, so I don't know those dates.

Thats pretty country down in there.Did some hunting for turkey this past spring back in that swamp with my son.He`s down in St Pete.Between the gators,cottonmouths,wild hogs all over, and the confirmed cougar sighting the guy at the gates handing out quota permits was telling us about,well,that just made it interesting.Didn`t bag a bird though.
After watching the video I think I ran into your buddy(the other guy in the video) out there in the WMA. Remeber loose lips sink ships so don't tell everyoen where there at...
@MrAlpineArcher Brother it's 49 thousand acres, I don't think anybody can discern the area we were in. Besides this year we are trying a new spot this year. Also, you only get 850 permits per two day GG season. Not everyone is willing to go out in bad weather or they may just not be able to go, for unknow reasons. I must say, it's a small world if you remember us. We only where able to take one, and with god's blessing it was me.
@MrPlayerAG lol out of the huge area out there about 10% of the WMA is where the animals are at. Maybe I'll see ya'll out there this year. Good luck, and I'll be out there during archery GG and muzzleloader.
Do ya'll ever et out there for the small game season? Being a member of alot of hunting forums I know how cyber scouting goes. I'd just hate to see it fill up with peopel out there.
@MrAlpineArcher No, for small game and turkey we go to the Green Swamp. You can shoot hogs then and they have plenty. I also lots of quail and dove there, you got to know were to go but they are there.
I like to try hunting in Osceola but I live in the Tampa Bay area and it's so far from there that I wouldn't have much time to do any scouting. Gas prices are murder now a days if you know what I mean. Again, Thanks and be safe out there.

It isnt that i didnt like the music, I kinda liked it but your hunting vid is a great video of you and nature as one , Any man or Woman that has the oppertunity to experiance hunting as you & I do should jump at the chance. to see how peacefull and how a person can clear their mind.

I was pretty happy cause my wife kept giving me a hard time saying " You spend all that money on hunting and you can't bring home any deer meat". It was my first time hunting in this wildlife management area. Till this video she thought it was like it was like summer camp or something. So I wanted to surprize her.
Nice job. It's great to see someone enjoying hunting like you do. I've been hunting in Indiana for 30 years and that's the way I still feel everytime I go out. Keep positng and having fun.
