I'm gonna guess you have an iPhone 3G...(which yeah, you might be right there isn't THAT big of an upgrade compared to the first upgrade from the 1st gen) but guess what??? you're not eligible for the price as the new and qualifying customers since you're in a contract that you started when you got the 3G
