50年代半ば頃のズート絶頂期におけるバラッドはどれもが一聴の価値ありですが、これは地味ながらも聴き込めば聴き込むほどに彼のテナーの素晴らしさを堪能出来る演奏ですね。

この時期のズートは様々なレーベルでレコーディングしておりますが、録音環境の違いからかそれぞれ微妙にテナーの音色が変わるのが聴いていて面白いです。
このリバーサイド盤は透き通った感じの瑞々しいトーンですね。
