@ryoma639 the Pintails are great for beginners and advanced riders. You can definitely hit up some smaller hills with these boards. If you're looking to speeds over 25 mph then you may be interested in our Freeride boards!

@ItsFreezeh the Apex 40 with double concave would be a great board for you. It can handle freeriding but is still great for cruising and doing tight, aggressive carves

@ItsFreezeh the double concave on the Apex 40 gives you foot placement for freeriding and tucking during high speeds. Rocker concave is reverse camber, adding height to the kicks and is good for freestyle riding. Both concaves can handle freestyle and freeriding though. It's mostly personal preference and what you feel is most comfortable.

@ItsFreezeh nope, they are different. The W actually has a small raised bump that goes down the center of the deck which fits into the arches of your feet to keep you locked in. The double concave does not have that bump, but has slight concave right before the nose and tail of the deck, to give you a comfy place to plant your foot. This helps with sliding. If you go to our website you'll find pictures of what the decks look like

@ItsFreezeh yup, the pintails can slide and they are great for smaller hills. You do not need to stick with original trucks, but make sure whatever trucks you use it 180mm or bigger.

@NZLProductionz it depends. The Apex 34 is shorter, and light weight which is good for smaller riders, or people interested in flat land freestyle. The Apex 37 is more durable for freestyle since it has a carbon reinforcement bar, and is also more stable for freeriding since it's a bit longer and the construction is a bit different.

I bought a longboard when I was much younger it's a lush but that's all I know, and I recently found it again in awesome condition and have just been messing around on it, it's fun for just cruising but it won't slide is that just cause I need more practice or is it the wheels, it also is way longer than most people haha could do with some advice the usual do I need a board and so on. Much appreciate help from people with knowledge cheers guys x

@joshjs667 any board can slide, but some are specifically structured to make sliding easier.. such as the freeride with rocker concave. You may want to get different wheels for your board to help you slide.

what is better for freestyle: apex 40 or apex 37 2011?

i think apex 40 is longer than 37 so it will be more difficult to do, for example, varial kickflip

@TheTNT2705 It really depends what you want to do. The 37 is shorter and a bit lighter, so flip tricks may be easier. The 40 has kicks and different concaves to choose from which also help with freestyle. It's personal preference, really.

@KanYeLife The pintails are great for beginners and are lower to the ground, providing stability. They are meant for cruising, carving, and smaller hills. You can get s8 trucks for carving, or s10s for a bit more stability.

@KanYeLife look at a board like the comet voodoo d2 or the comet ethos if your heart is set at original get the freeride 38 with w concave, but i would not recommend them they have durability problems ime. and for trucks don't even ask just get calibers and shut up you will thank me later. wheels its all personal opinion but i would highly recommend abec 11 flashbacks inexpensive yet one of the best performing wheels on the market.

hey i just got a longboard and am getting pretty good, but it was a board my cousin made me, and so i cant buy a new board cuz of sentimental value but the thing is that i need new trucks, i live in a hilly mountainous region and need something that can turn hard and fast but also be able to slow me down with ease... got any suggestions?

The 37 is rather stiff and should hold up well to your weight, also check out our Apex 40. I don't know how tall you are and that might be a better fit.
