  • hey rounder! i was just wondering, to film, how do you do it? do you place a camera on a tripod, film from behind the organ and flip the footage around? or do you put a camera on a tripod behind you? or do you stick it to the roof :P

  • Hi Jaskarsis

'Stick it to the roof' is close, but no cigar :-)

This is how I do it: I bought a cheap CCTV wall-mounted arm, that extends right over the organ. The CCTV arm has a standard sized screw that fits the tripod mount hole of any camera or camcorder.

  • @rounder2u allright well thanks... i might consider doing that if i dont manage to film properly. thanks again!

  • can i get the chords pls?

  • Hi juno

I have not written down the chords for my arrangement of this song. But I believe that my overhead camcorder perspective will make it not too difficult to see the chords/notes and my fingerings. The chords for this song are almost always minor and major chords, and their inversions.

If stuck somewhere, send a comment or message with the exact timestamp (e.g. 1:40) and I will reply with what chord (name and notes) I'm playing at that moment.

  • Great stuff, a song I can keep up with, still banging away at Green Onions(got the bass down)! Thanks Rounder

  • Hi halfer

    Thanks!

You're doing it the right way as you are prioritizing the bass line! That's the foundation to build upon.

If you go for this song: start with the trademark A part to get into the flow/feeling of the melody. Then learn the lower manual B part.

The A part has a quarter note triplet phrase in the right hand played against 'regular' quarter notes in the left hand, that you might stumble on first, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it with practice :-)

  • that's great!! You can take any great song and make it even better by playing it on a B3.

  • Hi danitz

    Thanks!

Old tonewheels (B-3/C-3/A-100) and their new siblings, top-notch clonewheels (Nord C1/New B-3/Diversi DV Duo/Nord C2, etc) are very versatile instruments, arn't they.
