  • yeah I been wanting to buy a good handgun at a low price and I came across this one online for a good deal. I think this is the gun for me, great video too thanks man!!

  • NICE GROUPS! GOOD SHOOTHING

  • The Sigma is awesome. Get a Glock if you're not strong enough to fire a real gun.

  • trigger mod makes this gun 10x more awesome

  • Jesus that recoil control, its about time someone on youtube knows how to shoot.

  • Ha! You are doing the same thing I've been doing. First few shots are right on, then progressively I start moving down and to the right. I blame the trigger weight, and my weak wrist. And the pot of coffee I drank that morning.

  • I sold my sigma to buy a glock it was ok but glocks on another level i love it. The sigma trigger is not very good evan after these mods its a stiff gritty gun evan the slides stiff. Id say its a good first gun i loved mine until i started shooting other guns.

  • Good aiming & shooting

  • EXCELLENT Video! I watched this before purchasing the firearm and watched it after just so I could duplicate the hold when I shot it at the range today. This is one of the smoothest guns, I've ever shot. Trigger pull? I would put money down that 95% of the people who complain NEVER touched this gun let alone fired it. Heavy maybe on safety but regardless, this is point, aim and fire and if you can hold a .40Cal then you can hit center mass, if not work on your technique. GREAT JOB @RAZORTNK !!~

  • This is a truly great weapon. The trigger pull is a little much but not bad. I can personally say this weapon saved my life. Accurate ad he'll and that's why I'm still alive

  • just bought this gun about 3 weeks ago and took it to the range yesterday. shot about 200 rounds and it fires beautifully. honestly if the trigger pull is an issue for you then you need to go back to the basics. i took my 5'1 girlfriend about 100 pounds and she loved it. had no problem shooting it single handed. straight shooter as long as you know how to properly fire a handgun. would recommend to anyone.

  • finally someone that can handle a pistol nice vid bud...

  • I got the same gun, i read somewhere that the heavy trigger pull is the safety mechanism for this gun, You basically have to o be wanting to pull thee trigger for it go off.

  • nice control of the gun.

  • Nice shooting. Very good gun control. Notice that the pistol flips very little. Most "limp wristers" flip that gun way off target during the recoil.

  • most of the reviews ive seen online say it has a heavy trigger pull, would you say the same?

  • @TexasWhitetails1 Yes. Mine weighs in at 11.5 lbs. It's extremely heavy compared to my M&P .40 which has a 4.5 lbs trigger. But it is easy to get use to.

  • @TexasWhitetails1 It is also very easy to lighten up the trigger yourself, they have tutorials on youtube that walk you through it and its very simple all you need is a punch to knock a pin out as far as tools go.

  • would u recommend for a police officer?

  • @MegaCowboys27 The P226? Yes.

  • @MegaCowboys27 I'd recommend handing a "police officer" a copy of the Constitution and a picture of his house in your neighborhood. Why you might ask? Because the majority of cops have forgotten/ ignore the oath they took in order to get their JOB (They always jump at every anti-gun photo opportunity with Political traitors in support of abolishing the 2nd Amendment) to uphold and defend this Republics laws. Why the house pic? To remind them they are no better than you or I.

  • does anyone know what type of handgun i can purchase for beginners? cuz i want a .40 cal sig sauer p226 is that a good gun to start out with or not?

  • @MegaCowboys27 That's a great first weapon! However, if you're recoil adverse I wouldn't suggest it. It's very top heavy and that just adds to the snappyness of the .40cal.

  • @MegaCowboys27

I agree with RazorTNK. The Sig is a fantastic gun however the bore is very high which leads to high recoil. My P228 is a 9mm and it feels like a .40.

It takes getting used to but it is a good gun.

  • @MegaCowboys27 Any Glock!

  • @MegaCowboys27 its also too expensive

  • what pistol would be good to buy for first time users?

  • Razor,

You are as strong as an ox! Just work on your technique and you will be able to rapid-fire that pistol into a target faster than you can count the bullets comming out of the mag and through the chamber.

  • is there anyway you could conceal carry this one?

  • @azn1980 With a jacket, no problem. I even wear it out side my pants.

  • @RazorTNK you can open carry?

  • @azn1980 nope, only when I'm working...

  • @RazorTNK are you a cop?

  • @azn1980 Nope.

  • The sigma is a great gun, I love mine. I used to have "Glock envy" with all my friends, but I actually shoot better than they do with it. It also feels better in my hand than the Glock.

The ONLY thing I don't like about it is the two tone color. I would prefer it being all black, but I'm just being nitpicky.

  • i think you were staring at your target. you want a clear front sight post on a blurry target. i only give people tips. cause if the world should end, i wanna know that people can shoot. like a marine and hit they're target.......... semper fi devils

  • Second Amendment – Militia (United States), Sovereign state, Right to keep and bear arms. A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

  • I like mine. No jams, fires well, saved $150.00, paid bills...yayy!

  • @chrisreed82 id do the sigma its verry durable and its not all composite plastic and iits also american made(:

  • @chrisreed82 ive had my sigma for 2 years now and i shoot it almost every weekend with my glock 17, i cante honestly tell you i trust my life in this pistol just as much as my glock 17

  • @chrisreed82 To put it bluntly, Yes, I love my Sigma. I've put thousands of rounds through it and it has never jammed once. Because it is priced so low, many people right it off as a cheap weapon. It isn't. It's not my concealed carry weapon because its so big, but it is one of my home defense/range weapons. You can't go wrong purchasing the.40 Sigma.

  • @RazorTNK Great comment! Thats why Im watching vids,to see what people think of them.I have been eyeballing one for a while but was turned off by the trigger,I found out how easy it is to do the trigger job myself so now I want to know about long term reliability and you summed that up very well.Thank you.

  • Yeah, it kind of sucks to be in California. Maximum number of rounds is ten. The really sad thing is I've had my sigma for two months now and still haven't tried it out.

  • @MichaelkSimmons Ouch! That would be the definition of hell... No just California, but owning a new gun for more than 2 months before being able to shoot it! :) Thanks for watching!

  • @MichaelkSimmons The question is, why are you still in California?

  • i ditto epics comments

  • That is some damn fine recoil control. I'm still mastering the snappiness of it.

  • @epic612 Why thank you Epic! Keep shooting, it starts to feel like nothing after awhile. :)

  • i just bought one of these sigma .40's and for the price it can not be beat. not the highest quality weapon but for $300 it is the best you can buy. actually put the first 200 rounds through it at H&H. great place!

  • Good shooting and pretty good stance. Looks like you got a little happy towards the end of the mag there tho.

  • That looks like H&H in OKC. I thought drawing from the holster was against the rules there.

  • @HisXLNC It is H&H. I love that place!

Line G. "Only line of sight firing is permitted. (No drawing from the hip or holster). Keep your finger of the trigger until on target.

I asked if it was ok for me to "store" my weapon in its holster, the range officer said it was ok. I believe the rule is for quick draw type shooting.

  • hey im class of '04 too and i just bought a .40 sigma yesterday. cant wait to go play with it!

  • @MATTSKELL85 Congrats! Thanks for watching man. Happy shooting!

  • Hey looks like a sweet gun. I have an AR on order, but once I recoup from that I plan to get the Sigma .40.

  • @monkeydude3 depending on where you go to purchase one, you may not have to recoup much. I got mine new for $300.

  • Nice vid, I bought one of these A couple months back. I LOVE it. People say it's junk and not accurate but I'm great with it. Better with it than my Beretta Cougar and my Ruger SR9. Just put another 150 rounds through it last weekend and it was flawless. It also eats any ammo. Usually use Federal though, $13.97 a box at Wal-mart, cheapest .40 I can find.

  • Is this jim's in fayetteville, nc?

  • @jarviscarroll88 Actually, H&H Gun Range in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. :)

  • @RazorTNK i knew that was h&h its a good range friendly helpfull people this is where i shoot my sigma 9mm

  • I just purchased a Sigma .40 two days ago. Does anyone have an opinion as to what brand ammo or grain size works best with this firearm?

  • @JoHomza1 For the past few years I've been shooting Winchester 180 grain target rounds with 0 jams or misfires. I buy the 100rd box from Wal-mart, or anyone else that carries them at the cheapest price. Happy shooting!

  • @JoHomza1 Federal 185 grain. 15 bucks a box at walmart. Shoots cleaner than remington and Winchester white box.

  • @harperrachela Thanks for your reply. Will give it a "shot"!

  • @JoHomza1 lol, go for it! :)

  • 40's are huge.

  • nice shooting i also own a sigma and never had problems with it very reliable the only thing i would say is that the trigger pull is a little hard other than that is great i dont get why people bad mouth this gun just to jump on the band wagon remember glock sued s&W because is 99% like a glock i also own a glock and a springfield xd and the s&w sigma has nothing to envy these other brands plus the price is very affortable

  • @jvamustangs Amen!!!! Well said, my friend!

  • so im about to get a new weapon, should i get a sig p226, s&w sigma, or a usp .45

  • What happen with the other 4 bullets.Only 16 bullets hit the target.

  • What happened with them? He musta missed. :B

  • Nice video. Just got mine the other day. Not very good with it yet. Im a ruger guy and this is ny first S and W. It will grow on me i think

  • Damn I cant wait until next friday when I pick up my Sigma .40. Dude its gunna be the best day of my life!

  • I love mine! I'm glad you're getting one! Happy shooting.

  • Im glad you enjoy yours! Thank you sir and the same to you!

  • Quick question man, well first of all, nice shooting and gratz on the sigma. But i just picked one of these up today and it seems like with a loaded magazine you really have to slam it in for it to fit in properly, did/do u have that problem?

  • I just picked mine up a couple weeks ago. I was having that problem when I first started putting loaded magazines in. But not that its been used and worn in a little its becoming easier.

  • awesome, i figured/hoped so, one more question tho playa, the slide stop release is tough as a mofo on mine, it functions but requires a lot more thumb muscle than on other guns ive used, anything similar with yours or did i get a semi-lemon?

  • @monkey1234567890 Naw the slide release is a little tough but its just something to get used too. mine isnt too bad

  • @longbeachmustangkid, ah coo, i think we busted the same thing except for your a week older than me, let me guess, got the extra 2 mags instead of the 50 bucks too right?

  • @monkey1234567890 Yeah I got the 2 free mags haha fuck the $50 dude the mags are worth more anyway. Haha you barely turned 21 too? thats koo man. Happy shooting!

  • @monkey1234567890 Hey bro I got some footage of me and my friends at the range. Check it out

  • Not really... I mean you should firmly insert the mag, but shouldn't have to really slam it in to make it seat... I'd take it back.

  • i like the sigma gun

  • Me too! High quality and inexpensive. I've never had a problem with it. Thanks for watching!

  • i have a sw9ve. works well for me. i'm going this weekend to compare it with a buddies glock19.

  • Other than cosmetic differences, the only appreciable difference is the trigger pull... And price. Have fun! Thanks for watching.

  • @RazorTNK yeah the only other thing i've heard is that glocks don't need to be broken in. the 5th or 6th round i fired out of the box didn't rechamber but since then it's been good.

  • Technically, all weapons that fire projectiles need to be, "broken in." Break-in procedures vary from weapon to weapon, but they all start with a through cleaning to remove any and all shipping grease, then proper lubrication. You can do things like clean the barrel every: shot, 10 shots, 20 shots, 30, 50... whatever. Basically, shoot it and find out what ammo works best; and/or work out the kinks if any.

  • i got mine for my b-day, cant complain. the trigger is heavy but its a safety feature. i love my gun. congrats to u guys who just got it. happy shooting

  • got one yesterday. trigger pull is a little long but i think ill get used to it. good vid.

  • i got mine today as an early anniversary gift...how cool is that!

  • Just bought mine today... 10 day wait and I Can't wait to shoot it. I own a s&w model 39 that I have shot since i was 4 so I'm stoked to have a larger round now. Cheap gun so I'm not expecting the world but I Had to buy American though and I think it will be a good gun to teach my girl with.

  • Congrats on the purchase! I love mine. It's amazing for the price. It WILL teach trigger control and follow through.

  • Dude how is the sigma? I just went and bought mine yesterday and now I just have to wait the ten day period for the wonderful state of california......cant wait to shoot it! lol

  • I will be getting one of these very soon, college graduation present from my folks. love the way it feels, shoots well, and for the money, cant beat it.

  • I couldn't have said it any better myself!

  • just got mine. i dnt like the trigger pull and it has heavy kick which is probably why it drifts to da left wen i shoot. but i still love it, it looks so gangsta

  • I have a Glock22 and the S&W40VE and I love my S&W more than my Glock.

  • Broke mine in today for the first time as well. Did'nt really like the kick. Aim's good. Mag's polished finished seemed to tarnish real easy with all the poweder resin. Ok for the price a guess. My dads colt 38 super fired alot smoother.

  • There isn't much kick. Tarnish? Maybe powder residue, but if you never clean it then maybe tarnish. It's an amazing weapon for the price. Keep in mind, it's not a service weapon, not a concealed carry weapon, it's a home-defense/short range target pistol.

  • my dad has one and i dont have the guts to shoot it im goin to shoot it todsy

  • @bobrampy07 Eh, it's no big deal. Just hold it tight! Happy shooting!

  • Sigma is good starter gun for those who want to shoot the big rounds. Its also a good practices gun for those who are in Miltary or law enforcement.

  • @Captb55806 : Yep, I agree 100% Thanks for watching.

  • and wist0301, it pretty much is a glock 22. same thing because the head designer from glock works for smith and wesson and he designed the sigma.

  • the kick is very small because of the low profile. lots of people say it had a heavy trigger pull but i like the way mine shoots.

  • @minator3 I have to shot mine again because for some reason it was shooting high right, maybe I need more practice. i've been shooting my glock so long, the trigger has a completely different feel to it.

  • @minator3 i have to agree i like mine as well the trigger pull gats a little lighter after its is broken in.

  • i got one and i love it , it has a heavy triger pull but it dont really bother me. sigmas rule baby!!!

  • Is the S&W Sigma .40 any good. My dad let me know that I was getting one for christmas. About how long to break it in? how is the kick?

  • put it this way, its no glock or sig, but after a 1000 rounds of the sigma, youll be a pro with anything else you pick up. Its a starter gun that teaches you the importance of trigger squeaze over pull. Kick? well...if you've shot a 40sw before, its more than a 9mm, no matter what you shoot it through. Your getting a decent pistol either way.

  • Razor I own the Sigma 40ve have you noticed a little slide bite with the way that you shoot yours. After 100 rounds my thumb really starts to hurt a little.

  • Nope, sorry Armando. I've put thousands of rounds through my Sigma, the max in one day being 400; never bothered me a bit. Are you pushing too hard? I dunno what the problem could be.

  • yea man ... mine hurts my thumb too after about 100 rounds

  • I guess you didn't take the time to break it in. After you do the trigger is much smoother and about 3 pounds lighter. To each his own, I like the Glock, but I prefer something comparable, American, and half the price.... Thanks for watching!

  • Be very careful of you front sight post its only held on by an epoxy type material and can be damaged no prob. just a word from the wise.

  • Yeah.... Don't know how I feel about that yet...

  • just saying budy it just happened to mine if you dont believe just take apart the slide and look under the front sight post.

  • No, I know. I'm just saying that I I haven't had any problems with it, but I don't know if I would prefer something... bolted on or whatever. I also don't bang mine around, did yours get dropped or was it just from shooting?

  • OK then if you are just shooting it it will stay on there tight for many many years to come and with that life time warrenty you should be set if you are only shooting it

mine got damaged in a struggle with someone else when he had tried to take it away from but other then that it should be fine.

  • i love the sig i dont like hair triggers

  • Amen! I love this weapon!

  • I noticed you only had a 10 round Mag? are you by any chance living in California? just wondering because High Cap. mags are illegal here just like everything else.....haha

  • heh, no offense, but you couldn't pay me enough to live in Cali, I was born there but I didn't hang around very long. It's actually a 14 round mag, I was only loading 10 rounds to conserve ammo. :)

  • Lol yeah I feel you. California is a cool place but it has shitty ass stupid laws and regulations.......where do you live? I wish we could have Hi Cap mags here but like I said in the last comment everything is illegal here....they're even trying to ban BLACK CARS....can you believe this shit? I told my girl I want to move to Nevada or Arizona.....

  • Arizona would be better than Nevada, but I live in Oklahoma. We don't have open carry like Arizona and NH, but we do have minimal gun laws. One of the few states we can decide to buy a gun and shoot that same gun in the same day, sometimes within the same hour.

  • Comment removed

  • once you get used to the trigger everything else follws

  • .40 cal Glock 22 model still takes the win

  • untill it goes KABOOOM!!

  • Is that a Uncle Mikes holster?

  • Yes Sir, good eye!

  • I have the 9mm version of this gun, and i've only put 300 rounds through it so far... but do u guys think that this weapon is as durable as the glocks???

  • Heck yeah!

  • mines low and to the right as well

  • Yeah, that was the first time I have ever shot it. It pretty much goes where I want it to now. :)

  • I have one. Sigma 40, and today, I fired it for the 2nd time. The first time out, I put 50 through it, no problem. Today, I was on my first magazine, and it jammed about 5 times. Other times, after cleaning the jam, I would put the magazine back in the gun, pull the slide back, and I couldn't get a trigger response. I'd pull the trigger but no firing, as if it weren't cocked. I was very disappointed with my S&W today.

  • I'd take it back... I'm sorry you've had a bad experience with yours.

  • I have a Sigma 40 cal also. This gun does not like cheap loads. If you use reloads make sure they are good quality. I agree with RGV, you might need a new striker spring. Very cheap fix.

  • I was using winchester cartridges. They're not Hornady, but they certainly aren't Wolf either, lol... I'm going to shoot again real soon, and cross my fingers.

  • Very true. I usually use 165 grain Winchester 100 round boxes, you can pick them up anywhere weapons are sold.

  • You have great recoil control. I got to practice more...

  • Well thanks! My Sigma has a bit less recoil than my Taurus, but if you ask me I'd say the recoil isn't that stout on the Sigma anyway.

  • Is there ANY chance at all that after u shoot ur last bullet and the slide locks back that it'll shoot after u load a new mag and release the slide? because that happened to my friend during a home invasion and he almost hit his little cousin. Or did he just do something worng?

  • Yeah, as a matter of fact, that's exactly how you make the gun hot again. It will not fire when the slide is released until you pull the trigger, UNLESS there is something extremely wrong with the gun or someone messed up the firing pin. Your friend's cousin is very lucky.

  • It may need a new striker spring. They cost about $5.00. If the spring is too weak, the inertia of the striker will overcome the retention in the spring and be able to "carry through" and punch the primer when the slide slams shut. It's called a "slam fire." Check with Wolff Gun Springs. Also, the striker may be defective in that it's too long. A new striker is also inexpensive. Titanium strikers are more expensive, but have less inertia.

  • Amen, I couldn't have said it better myself!

  • *face turns RED* My apologies, Ma'am. I'm sorry for the assumption. It is however a breath of fresh air to meet a woman with a passion for guns!

  • Yes Sir, with the exception of the stout trigger, I believe they compete with the Glock.

  • Ack....stupid California ten day waiting period. Six days to pick up my Sigma 9mm, first handgun and i'm really psyched.

  • Yeah, silly Cali, they like to over legislate everything. I'm proud to live in the great state of Oklahoma! Good choice on a first handgun. Don't let the trigger slow you down, it's heavy but you'll get use to it.

  • I heard that S&W would lighten the trigger if you send it in for gunsmithing, for free...do you know if that's true?

  • I can't say I've heard that, but now you have me interested! I hope it's true.

  • is that true? ive looked on their website and havent found anything. Where di u hear this

  • Yes. The weapon should NEVER fire unless the trigger is pulled. If it does, there is something seriously wrong with it, and it should be fixed or destroyed.

  • Oh, i was talking about the company S&W fixing the heavy trigger pull for free

  • lol, sorry. No, they won't fix the trigger for free, because there's really nothing "wrong" with it. They made it heavy to help prevent accidental discharge.

  • but that never happens right?

  • What? Accidental discharge? Sure, but it was designed to make you have to try, consciously pull the trigger.

  • Nice, I got mine at Gander Mountain in Denver( great gun shop) for $299. It was only shot once and the laser was still in the package. I was at the right place at the right time.

  • Yes Sir, Smith and Wesson test fires all their products; that's quality service!

  • They also fix your shit for free, if it breaks on you, like me. S&W is awesome.

  • Yep, also if you have a competition or something coming up where you might need the weapon quickly, they will mail it rush delivery. Which is cool!

  • I just got this gun and am finding that the trigger is affecting my accuracy. Any advice for this gun?

I guess i'm used to my 1911 but I really want to like the sigma. Any tips would be great.

  • Hehehe, yeah the Sigma is by no means as high quality a gun as a 1911, but it can be as accurate. Basically, keep shooting, you'll get use to it. Or, you could always get a trigger job. New, it's about a 12lb trigger and after you break it in real well it drops to about 9 to 10 lbs.

  • Nice. I own an SW40VE also. What loads were you using in that video?

  • Cool, yeah I love this weapon. In this video I'm shooting Monarch 180 grain.

  • nice uncle mikes holster... jk i fucking hate mine..

  • Me too, but I can't find a real holster for the Sigma anywhere....
