Pilot is fascinating because he never really played a part in the murder of Christ. He actually didn't want to carry it out and asked the Jews why. He even gave Christ a second chance by ordering Barrabas from the Jail and STILL the Jews Chose the wrong answer. He is fascinating because he was right all along. And he played a mathematical move out of blood on his hands.
The man was simply a governor who was faced with a trial and told to judge it. He already on bad terms with Emperor Tiberius because of his methods. Now he was faced with hysterical Jews who wanted a man dead. But he judged Jesus with a kind of sympathy that was rare in the Romans especially the patricians. But in the end he did the logical thing and made sure whatever he did would work out best for him and his wife. I think Pilate shows a kind of humanity we all can relate too.

This is far superior to the passion of the christ version. They say more with facial expression than any speech in Gibson's version.

3:31. What is truth? My favorite line from John. Pilate is a very fascinating man to me for some reason

I hope that answer was sufficient enough, I had to cut a lot of things out because of the damn character limit.

@foxesV Funny he said "What is truth", when he was staring right at Truth.

@GoldenSilents A random question; how much does the DVD cost? I'm really fascinated by this film.
