  • Tom Platz Hair is EPIC!!

  • Is this on dvd? Damn I want this.

  • @pray4chicken

Hehe, it was on VHS. Don't know if it's re-released on DVD but you could check. I'm sure that if you search you can find a digital copy one way or another. Might try pm'ming the uploader and ask him where he got it.

  • Arnold won, so fuck what anyone else says.

  • His body was not his best this year, at least compared to when he won Mr. Olympia in the 1970's (especially 1974) but it was top five and as usual, he had the best mentality going to the competition. This is why he won Mr. Olympia in 1980;

  • yeah but, he was young and already in shape and, when he jump on the srage, as always, he is perfect!

  • 5:15 is the funniest part, when he tell him to make a noise as he put's the weight plate on.

Its only a 10 lb blade but you must make it sound like it was a thousand pands.

  • it's eerie to think of arnold the austrian what with mentzer being jewish and all.

  • @NakenKenguruTiss yes, but i really cant believe this. you cant look like them without steroids. they not only use steoids to main tain her muscles in the competition diet. they take other steroids and not as much as the bodybuilders today...!

  • massive roided up arnie speaking german is frightning.

  • Obese people are healthier than bodybuilders.Bodybuilding should be banned and the Weider brothers should go fuck themselves for rigging each and every Olympia where Haney,Yates and Arnold are the winner. At least with obese people they are eating real food where as bodybuilders only take in steroids and water and that's it.

  • @vancedev I hope you're joking. Obese people eat loads of junk food, which is all empty calories with minimal nutrional value. The basis of all bodybuilders diets (whether pro or amatuer or otherwise) is good, clean food: meat, fish, vegetables, fruits and nuts. That's the healthiest most natural diet for a human being and even people who have no interest in bodybuilding should be eating like that.

  • @vancedev lol steriods and water? So where are the calories that provide engery to lift the weights to make the body grow muscle? They need massive amounts of food and plenty of protein for the muscles to grow fast!

  • @pimpUK1 Ya,when you are on steroids you don't food, you just lift weights drink water and then have roid rage pulling some guy out of his car and beating him up for cutting you off. These bodybuilders are very unhealthy people and probably gay.I've seen them rub each other with oil for no reason at all and pose in front of 5,000 other men in auditoriums in just a G-string.

  • @NakenKenguruTiss I really don't believe that though. Think about it dude. Yea they didn't use the plethora of drugs that they have today. But no way they only used them when 'cutting up'. They definitly used steroids (not that I'm dissing them for that) all year, not just when they were in their cutting phase. Just my opinion though...

  • @NakenKenguruTiss in bodybuilding the major things the judges look at is mass and definition, symmetry. cutler, ronnie is way better than arnold, he lacked on alot of things, lats, legs, delts. they don't, about the bloated stomachs, that ain't affecting the judges as much as the incredible size and definition, symmetry they have. i think arnold looked better than ronnie and cutler, but if you would knew anything about bodybuilding, you would know that they are way, way better than him.

  • @NakenKenguruTiss You don't use dianabol for cutting (which is one of the agents he used). The reason why they look worse and overly freakish today is the incorporation of a gross amout of Growth Hormone, coupled with an insane amount of classic agents. I agree, 60's, 70's and even the 80's physiques will always be the best!

  • @codemandeuce

Do you know which steroids he used?

  • @codemandeuce

Do you know which steroids he used?

  • @nokia3210fuck Primobolan, Deca, and Dianabol.

  • @codemandeuce

    No Testosterone?

Makes little sense to me that there is no testosterone in his stack, especially if you consider his enormous drive and motivation which is caused by high testosterone levels.

  • @nokia3210fuck Arnold's "drive" and "motivation" didn't come from a bottle of testosterone. And yes, he may have thrown in some test here and there, but don't forget that for all intensive purposes dianabol is a form of test.

  • i agree. the only way that will happen is if someone with that figure competes with a small stomach and the judges award him the points.

  • "This is my opinion its not true" - What the fuck does that mean?

  • @NakenKenguruTiss

From what I understand, they only used steroids to maintain mass when cutting before competitions, not to gain like they do today.me extra muscle.

Wrong, they ofc just said that too protect their images.

Roids are the ground pilar in bodybuilding. Just watch arnolds vids here on youtube off cycle.

  • i didnt no wtf that was at 7:57

  • @NakenKenguruTiss nope they used roids for gaining as for cutting there is no difference in that compared with todays BB-ers,only difference is dosages they used are ridiculouse compared to todays standards, hell even recreational BB-ers use insane amounts compared to old school BB-ers

  • @NakenKenguruTiss your so wrong its not even funny.Only used roids to cut.BS.They just like the competitiors nowadays do.The only difference is the judges kept asking for bigger competitiors.Hench the mass monsters of today

  • i think even 1980 mr.olympia arnold deserved it!!

  • " a thousand pounds"

  • Check out Sean Connery's competitive bodybuilding pics. Those were men back then. From Ah-nolds days on, we wanted to see superheros.

  • @NakenKenguruTiss I'm not sure how accurate this is because I watched an interview and apparently they always ate high fat, high protein and stayed away from carbs. This means that they were always cut and therefore would have to change their diet that much when "cutting down".

  • 9:50... Zane is just absolutley shredded.

  • How come Arnold speaks better english back in 1980?

  • @NakenKenguruTiss Spot on!!! I like your last several words.........peek human physique, not freak physique.

  • @NakenKenguruTiss to maintain ? Your kidding right !!

They used alot of stuff and not to maintain , but more to build

  • This is Olympia of 1980.

A player at that time doesn't have the distention of the abdomen and the abdomen has expanded like the insect now.

Arnold downs the sizes more than 1975.

  • tom platz legs are amazing!

  • @NakenKenguruTiss actually quite the contrary, they did not cycle their steroids of choice as they do today rather they ran them continuously, and on various occasions for more than a year at a time.

  • @NakenKenguruTiss

I don't know about that. I think they used Steroids to help bulk as well. Today's bodybuilders use a non steroid called human growth hormone to help them achieve mass proportions greater than the past but it's true their stomachs enlarge as a result and they tend to look awful.

  • @NakenKenguruTiss Hah I doubt it man I bet they played down the steroid use, to much competition not to push it.

  • bodybuilder at 7:37?

  • @demoncoreftw thats tom platz

  • @NakenKenguruTiss fucking A

  • what the first song ?? please please

  • hahaha steroidsR4losers is everywhere online haha

  • do you think everytime he looked in a mirror he thought "my god i am a sexy bitch" ???

  • @scottishson no, by this time, ARnold had won the olympia several times and so he could probably hire people to tell him how sexy he is.

  • @scottishson no, but i do

  • @scottishson I don't know, but I would 100%!

  • @scottishson I had an actual LOL at that.

  • @scottishson Yes! ;)

  • @scottishson That and he didn't need a mirror to think that, I'm pretty sure he was told that on a daily basis haha

  • @scottishson He never said "bitch" you stupid dumbfuck.

  • @scottishson he said " my god ,i am a sexy MAN"

  • @NakenKenguruTiss they also used steroids to build their muscles

  • This is a disgrace that Mentzer didnt win.

  • Am I correct in saying this hasn't has a DVD release yet? It's odd considering it's predecessor was released a few years back. You can still get Total Rebuild on VHS on eBay I guess.

  • Tom platz is quite the philosipher

  • I agree. It was this feature that made me a instant fan. We need more of Tom's introspection and Arnold's charisma in this day and age. It wasn't just the muscle that made us respect and admire these guys. There was always more to their character. I don't get that at all from the current generation of body builders... Sad.

  • @mdentari well said! i totally agree!

  • oh, i wonder if Mike Mentzer ever saw this - - he'd have gone nutz all over again.

  • 16...17...18...19, du faules Schwein hahaha

  • DID THIS MOVIE CAME AFTER PUMPING IRON

  • @pvsg1990 yes of course it was, i think pumping iron was in 1975

  • @NakenKenguruTiss Haha, fan boy? You probably mean like a, fan boy of Jay and Ronnie, if so, then I'll inform you I'm also a fan of Arnold. Cudos on the personal insult to go jerk off. I'm not trying to change your mind, only to get you to the point where you can be real with yourself and just simply say today's stage aint your cup of tea. No reason we can't agree that we disagree.

  • @NakenKenguruTiss And don't you even realize that those guys you talk ever so joyfully about, were the Jay's and Ronnie's of their time? You even know that some people looked onto the (disproportionately developed) pecs and biceps of Arnold and scoffed in disgust?

  • @NakenKenguruTiss Oh boy I forgot about you. Still sounds like you're scared of big strong muscles. I'd like to see Arnold or Zane bench 600lb. Not athletes? Anyone is an athlete if they compete in a sport with a physical aspect. You still don't get what body building is about do you? It's not about looking pretty, it's not (to my dismay) about being able to climb a mountain (I'd like to see a mountaineer stretch his arms over the 22inch mark),it's about developing the muscles on a body for show

  • He was 36

  • how old was he when he returned to his lifting does anyone know? also this sounds dumb but what's the difference between strong men and body builders? can't body builders lift the same as strongmen?

  • @LukeLegere Strongmen are power lifters. they do not cut weight to get the body you see arnold with. most strong men are big burley guys. body builders are the type you see in this video.

  • @LukeLegere bodybuilders care about symmetry and proportion but not how much they can lift. powerlifters care about getting stronger and how much they can lift instead of how they look.

  • 18,19, du faules schwein ^^

  • roids

  • Arnold "The Joke" Steroidzenegger

  • @steroidsR4losers Dude, this was more than 30 years ago. People didn't know how bad steroids were back then. Let it go.

  • @NakenKenguruTiss Search: Levrone vs chambers

  • @NakenKenguruTiss Wow, you call Zane, a 5'9" 200lb in off season an ecto. "And you say todays substances has not ruined the sport" - that's not what I said, you made that assumption.

"But anyways, go suck some BB dick while ass-riding you major league baseball bat" - no wonder I have a hard time allowing myself to be at ease with your opinions regarding this sport, foul mouth.

  • @NakenKenguruTiss Ruined the sport? Well that's your opinion. HA you think in Arnolds day steroids gave a 5-10% edge? Imagine if none of them used gear, you know what they would all look like? Frank Zane (and even he dabbled with gear), yeah he has a good beach body, but he'll always be smaller, weaker and fatter then he could be. Closest faggot? *sigh* You stick to your natural minor league baseball shows and I'll stick to the big league.

  • @NakenKenguruTiss oo look who's getting touchy now. So you think that someone that has a super level of well proportioned and developed muscle mass and strength cannot possibly be described as superhuman because you consider them as mobile as a fat person? Would you say that Bill Gates is ridiculous because he is so great with computers but probably has the fitness of a fat person? Would you say that Arnold looks comic as well? Are you angry because today's pros aren't pretty anymore for you?

  • @NakenKenguruTiss Do they look less appealing to you because they look superhuman? Would you sit in disgust at a football match knowing the players have superhuman performance? Again, the only thing you don't like are some large abdomens, if they looked like comic book characters, (that even have bigger muscles) but tight midsections, would you still complain?

  • @NakenKenguruTiss You really think the old timers didn't put any muscle on when they used gear before competitions? Be real with yourself, the ONLY thing you don't like about today's bodybuilders are some large abdomens, if Cutler and Coleman had the midsection size of Arnold, would you still whine about them?

  • WOW Arnold has a great 4 pack there!

  • best mr olympia year ever , they all looked natural and beautiful , not like today's freaks who can't even take off their clothes !!!

  • @mimito92 If you're judging a bodybuilding contest, and every competitor comes in equally symmetrical in size and development, equally conditioned and defined and having equal muscle separation (and all with tight midsections to shut up the whiners), but UNequal muscle sizes...who will you give the trophy to? all else being equal you have to give the trophy to the biggest guy...with all else equal, where's your cut off point for 'enough muscle' and 'too much muscle you loose points'?

  • @JeanLouie1106 in the 80s and 90s , all bodybuilders looked good '"not too big " , but now all competitive bodybuilders look soooo big , bigger than usual , some of them even use synthol to make their muscles bigger , seriously don't you think that arnold's and frank zane's body looked more beautiful and natural than jay cutler and ronnie coleman's , today's bodybuilders look soooo big and their stomach looks weird , the old timers' muscles were good to see , not disgusting .

  • @mimito92 Well...what is it that you actually want to see? Real bodybuilders or fitness models? Back in Arnold's day, he was considered gigantic, freakish. Arnold and Zane to Cutler and Coleman are unfair comparisons, they're from different times, like rating the look of formula 1 race cars back then and now. Apart from the midsections that you don't like, bodybuilding is about having the best built physique, regardless if it's in your comfort zone.

  • @JeanLouie1106 @mimito92 are you considering bodybuilding as a sport ? when bodybuilders inject synthol in their muscles to make them bigger and uglier only to win , is it a sport , and don't tell no pro bodybuilder use synthol , that's why they created natural competitions see !! for me i would love to see bodybuilding as a normal sport and bodybuilders looking good and natural , because without steroids , there is no way in hell someone can look like jay cutler or ronnie coleman .

  • @mimito92 By definition bodybuilding is a sport, you speak as though every bodybuilder uses synthol. Natural comps weren't made because of synthol, that's not the only substance that can be used. Well, at least you're right that without steroids (or some mutation) no one would be able to press 200lb dumbells, squat 800lb, have 24inch arms and less then 10% body fat.

  • @JeanLouie1106 you can't compare humans by machines , cars in formula 1 have developped , but humans didn't become stronger or faster , do today's sprinters run faster than the 70s sprinters ? no , because they don't use steroids !!!

  • @mimito92 ...Sprinters today do run faster than sprinters alive in the world of 4 decades pass. All top 10 of the fastest sprinters of all time are in the last 2 decades. And in 4 decades times sprinters will be faster than today's sprinters. Larger populations with normal genetic variance, improved nutrition, improved training, improved support all combines to make athletes of any time bigger faster and stronger than their predecessors.

  • @JeanLouie1106 Except going way back to the stone age where tracks of humans have been found indicating jogging speeds of 22 mph (Bolt's top speed was 27), the lengthening strides also indicated they were accelerating. Also bear in mind this was barefoot on a muddy lakeshore.

  • @Austin333 Your time comparison is so big it brings in evolution, apples and oranges, for the last 12,000 years there's been little drive towards natural selection for hunting. But to humor you, I'd say that the hunters of 100,000bc would not have had the speed and endurance abilities of hunters in 99,800bc.

  • sir Arnold Schwarzenegger: one of the best sportsmen ever:)

  • at that time steroids were just like protein and glutamine, not many people knew about the side effects of steroids till many of the older builders started getting em, there were only handfull of researches to prove it, even if they knew they ignored it with ''i'm hard as a rock'' mentality!! we now know that roids can only be used when your career lets you afford a couple of transplants and bypasses!!

  • @goforkranthi79 This statement is full of bullshit. Protien and Glutamine akin to Gear. Do some research.

  • protein and glutamine can never substitute lifting weight!! of course not!! if thats what you meant!!, and i did my research buddy infact i spent my 7 yrs of life in med school figuring that out!! i was a fitness freak myself and found out a lot about it!! yes roids were only termed illicit in 1990,after carl lewis was beaten in olympics by a steroider and a bill was passed by the govt, up and till then they were pretty much over the counter!! and remained so till late 90's now its not th same!

  • @nwalsh011 in case if you thought i said protein and glutamine= steroids!! NO I DID NOT MEAN THAT!! i said in the sense that roids were available, and taken as easily as protein and glutamine and creatinine... infact they were as easily available as gum in the gyms till 90's!! i've researched that!!

  • @goforkranthi79 No, I did not. You are thick.

  • @goforkranthi79 i knew exactly what you meant.... i thought it was pretty obvious

  • @nazi30215

I'm sure he wasn't a doosh just because he was jewish :)

  • Mike Mentzer - the real Mr.O 1980...

  • @hellspawnds

Lol Never Arndold better than! However Arnold wasn't on the top...1976 on the top!!

  • ALL of these guys were on gear....only real difference between these guys and the current lot of Olympians is IGF and HGH. Look at the bellies of todays crew compared to yesteryear, 3 time Mr. O Frank Zane couldn't even place in todays market. Just my opinion, feel free to disagree.

  • arnold schwarznegger was interviewed in "MUSCLEMAG", january 2011 , issue no. 344

arnold said he competed for a number of reasons but probably one of the main reasons was that there were bodybuilders in interviews saying that "todays bodybuilders (1980) are much better then when swhartznegger was around"..

that motivated him to jump in.arnold always had a big ego, and that comes into play, he competed and barely won. he said he was 3rd in prejudging. he did tons of posing to lose the water ibs

  • theres been debate whether arnold should have lost to mike or not .but to clear facts put it this way...

arnold only trained for 8 weeks in this olympia..and lets say he was 80%..mike was obviously at his full potential..

arnold at only being 80% won over mikes physique at 100%,

meaning that arnold half assing the show beat mike at his all time best ..just shows how great he really was.

  • its fact that he took just enough to get in condition..thats it..not for size but for contest conditioning which back in his day even when he wasnt in contest day conditioning he still wasnt fat at all..i assume he took just nough to etch out the etra details like striations in the chest back, and to bring out the smaller muscles you cant see in the back...

  • this is the pumping iron ii

  • arnold looks good with a six o clock shadow

  • does anyone know the title of the piece of music played in the beginning? if yes, please let me know. would be really nice. thx!!

  • roids

  • @steroidsR4losers actually it's a fact that arnold took very little steroids. He only took that little to keep up with competition of other body builders

  • @steroidsR4losers your a retard!!

  • @forewalker i have absolutely nothing against steroids but that isnt true. arnold was quoted as saying his formula for taking dbols was too take them until you piss blood.......then cut your dose back til you stop pissing blood...then thats how much you should take. he was on plenty of sauce. not close to as much as todays bodybuilders....but plenty nonetheless

  • "...18...19...20...common you lazy pig!"

  • ARNIE RULEZ!!!

  • I read that the fans were Booing Arnold at the show. and were pissed off when he won, of course they wouldnt show it in his film tho

  • whats up with this steroidsR4losers guy do you have no life?

  • roids

  • @steroidsR4losers commit suicide, please

  • In one way I would've liked to grow up with Arnie in Austria. Start training at 15 and

push eachother to the limit. Maybe I would've been big, who knows.

  • roids

  • @steroidsR4losers no shit dickhead

  • Tom Platz is so chill.

  • man this steroidsr4losers dude is everywhere on every bodybuilding video go eat more skinny man.... stop shitting bodybuilding videos sheesh...

  • Good vid ,The best b.builders in the worlds

  • sechzehn... siebzehn... achtzehn... du faules Schwein! XD

  • you stupid lil kid!!

u think u just take steroids and u get bigger like that ? go ahead and try it den u fool !!

steroids need a good diet and a hardcore ttraining and a good sleep and u alsow put yo life in risk so shut yo fuckin mouth and show respect u bitch!!!

  • Damn this motherfokerr had huge legs!!!

  • @steroidsR4losers who cares ^^

  • why isnt there a heroin are for losers and a crack is for losers, yknow shit that actually matter

  • @wantapie I know right, arnold is the king of BB and there will never be another

  • Arnold was way less cocky in this than when he did pumping iron
