You don't even have to appreciate hip hop culture to like this song. I'd have to say that hip hop is usually at the bottom of my list when it come to genre's of music. But Buck 65 is really something else
I've been hooked on Buck 65 ever since I saw him perform with Sage Francis a few years ago. The simple, yet beautiful beat fits the subtle, powerful lyrics of this song. I don't see how anyone that appreciates hip hop could dislike this song.
@voivod Terrible beat - that's you're opinion. Personally, I love it. It allows me to focus on what he's saying, and not get distracted by some obnoxious in-your-face sound that takes away from the song as opposed to amplifying it. Lyrically, as with most of Buck 65's songs, it's amazing. It tells a very interesting story of a man who's been destroyed by the woman he loves, and yet, seems to be content with it. Sorry if you're simply too stupid to understand what he's saying... tis' a shame.
I love this song. I think it's about people who are lonely, but are too afraid to get out and participate in the world, or maybe are just too inept to. Lots of room for interpretation, though.
It angers me when the fans of his older, more traditional hip-hop bash his newer work. It's different, but it's beautiful and just as great as his early work.
Me too man, I like both styles, but their both very different, I probably prefer his later stuff though, just. His early stuff had some clever wordplay but his latest stuff is incredibley deep, like so poetic and beautiful.
I love this guy. He can tell a story so well

Devestatingly sad, brilliantly composed and lyrics that cut like a knife. Secret House Against The World is album full of amazing tracks.

What an amazing song this is. Buck 65 is so damn underrated in the underground scene. It's sad because he is so great.
