So cute! Excellent, smooth animation, good job! The hindquarters' movement is pretty much perfect but the front (especially the shoulders) looks a bit stiff. It would look more cat-like if the weight was more on the front legs (the butt could be significantly higher than the shoulders) and if the head was set lower, but for a happy-bouncy cartoon cat this cycle is very suitable. ^^
Yes it is cool, sadly the movement is wrong..., it's left back and front right leg then back right and front left leg... What you have the cat doing is called bear-walking
The way this assignment is set up, all the characters are supposed to walk like this. I remember doing an Otter walk cycle for this assignment, and all I could think was "Otter's don't walk, they hop and run and slide." But oh well.
As a matter of fact the leg motion sequence is correct, cats are some of the few animals that walk like that; for example, camels are another species hat move the legs from one side and then the two legs from the other.
I use the paper provided by my school. I think they order it from www.chromacolour.com. Its a medium weight animation paper, but the heavier the better. You want it to be able to take a beating from all the erasing, rolling and flipping abuse you'll do to it.
smooth :D

This is lovely. You got the timing and fluidity of motion down perfect. I'm using this as reference for my animation homework, haha.
