  • smooth :D

  • So cute! Excellent, smooth animation, good job! The hindquarters' movement is pretty much perfect but the front (especially the shoulders) looks a bit stiff. It would look more cat-like if the weight was more on the front legs (the butt could be significantly higher than the shoulders) and if the head was set lower, but for a happy-bouncy cartoon cat this cycle is very suitable. ^^

  • This is lovely. You got the timing and fluidity of motion down perfect. I'm using this as reference for my animation homework, haha.

  • Woah pencil animations.... I've never dreamed one as good as this... O.o

  • thanks! I've used this as a reference to one of my animation projects!

  • Nice cycle. Very smooth.

  • Beautifully made!

  • Thank you very much, this is great reference material. :D

  • WOW. That was epic :D

  • wow realy i like this cycle ... as an animator i love this video

    Amazing cycle and design!

  • really cool =D

  • love the added head-bob to it's walk, it adds character :)

  • Best cat walk reference I've found thus far. Thanks!

  • Your cats are so cute :D

  • omg that cat is so cute

  • excellent

  • OMG so good ^^ How many frames? just curious.

  • @WarriorCatTigerLuver he used at least 75 frames

  • thats so smooth! good job

  • How many frames did you use?

  • @lexhen96 Probably anywhere from 12 (the lowest possible frame count for smooth animation) to 24.

  • Whoa thts so smooth

  • cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute ^^

  • woooooooooooooooooow

  • Haha, I like it! He looks jazzy with his head bobbing.

  • Nice breakdown of the anatomy, and appealing character.

  • WOW! that is realy good

  • Yikes, that's complex...

  • it looks like a fox lol, its really cute :P

  • woah

  • like tom and jerry all over agian

  • Cat cartoon!

  • Nicely done! it was VERY smooth. i wish that i could do that!

  • very cute! ^.^

  • such a smooth and complete movement, right down to the foot contact on the floor

  • thnx for this

  • this is awesome.! great job!

  • Yes it is cool, sadly the movement is wrong..., it's left back and front right leg then back right and front left leg... What you have the cat doing is called bear-walking

  • The way this assignment is set up, all the characters are supposed to walk like this. I remember doing an Otter walk cycle for this assignment, and all I could think was "Otter's don't walk, they hop and run and slide." But oh well.

I like the stylized look of the cat. Nice!

  • As a matter of fact the leg motion sequence is correct, cats are some of the few animals that walk like that; for example, camels are another species hat move the legs from one side and then the two legs from the other.

  • it doesn't matter man i mean hey karsica did good! if i tried to do this i would fall over in my chair bump my head on the floor and start crying

  • you are really odd...

    lol

  • lol i know!

  • 10/10 awsome good job

  • wow...that was awesome

  • Wow! That's awesome!

  • I use the paper provided by my school. I think they order it from www.chromacolour.com. Its a medium weight animation paper, but the heavier the better. You want it to be able to take a beating from all the erasing, rolling and flipping abuse you'll do to it.

  • what type of paper do you animate with?

  • Nice sense of weight

  • cool ^^

  • Very nice locomotion
