@TarunoNafs not sure what you mean , this version doesn't please you?? I like it a lot though, being searching this one for long time after the first time I've heard the piece . I thought the raxhephone soudtrack was made by YOKO KANNO ,due to the openning theme which is made by her, turned out I ' ve mistaken and wasted a lot of time....then I found this piece by its connection with the Polovstian dance, was really a hard work , hope you love it ^^
@ClemantineEvapore he wants the version without instrument. but what he could find is just some low sound quality version, so he wishes someone could uopload one with high sound quality
@ClemantineEvapore he wants the version without instrument. but what he could find is just some low sound quality version, so he wishes someone could uopload one with high sound quality
It is. Especially funny how RahXephon, essentially an Evangelion clone, uses a major lietmotif that was initially intended to be Eva's opening theme ( before the executives axed it in favour of the famous Cruel Angel's thesis).
What is the dialogue at 1:18 ? Gibberish? Nahatual? English? Japanese?
ahhhh Hideaki anno actualy intended for that to be the intro theme to NGE..... how magnificently it would have worked out, but the broadcasters thought it was too sophisticated for an anime show.
At 4:46, when it gets to the "la la" parts, is there a version of only that part of the song? In episode 24(or 25) There's a song they use, its mostly piano and the girl singing the "la la" parts(identical to this song, but without the woman talking in between them). Whats it called? Please and TY
This is originally from Alexander Borodin's opera Prince Igor (Polovtsian dance piece). Later adapted into the song Stranger in Paradise in the show Kismet. But here is another wonderful variation.
Complètement d'accord! Je cherche les mots pour décrire cette musique. Je pense que l'effet hypnotique est dû aux accords assez complexes. Il parait que plus de dix notes sont joués simultanément. Je n'ai trouvé aucune chanson comparable à celle ci
This song is incredible I think Rahxephon gets alot of comparisons to Evangelion but imo RahXephon beats Evangelion in the music department although dont get me wrong The End of Evangelion album was genius and "Komm Susser Tod" no one can beat but RahXephon had more diversity in their music but Evangelion music is still great.
Not only that, but evangelion had really unsympathetic characters (I hated nearly everyone, including the main characters) and tried to take religious illusions into context, but it didn't work. While it was groundbreaking in regards to the very adult-level brand of intelligent storytelling through pyschological insight, the last half of the series was just a diluded mess that could've been done better, imo.
Rahxephon is much more original than people will give it credit, and is better imho.
Yeah, the second half of Eva was just about incomprehensible. I still haven't seen an Anime of its kind though, and lets face it... End of Eva was the best acid trip any of us ever did.
I heard this song in a DDR game a long ass time ago, hearing it again when I finally watched Rah was a treat :D Liked the upbeat version better though.
Rahxephon is evangelions bastard child, its not bad ive seen both, besides pointing out that you rather disliked the second half only shows that your tastes are rather superficial in regards to anime, Rahxephon did what eva did in a more audience freindly method, you do realize that the religeous imagry means nothing realy, and the second half of the series is what makes this anime stand out from all the rest, it is the antithesis of all giant mecha, dont know how that idea it holds up today.
Evangelion is still indirectly responsible for most the content after itself, because of the censory blocks eva broke down, also why do you think eva began to go down hill? episode 18 was too violent so its budget was cut in half, and well anno was going through rough times then it clearly shows in the series.
Undeniable. But isn't Eva's downfall irresponsible storytelling? Budget constraints or no, the surreal monologues which lasted half an episode- while insightful in fleshing out character motivations - bogged down the pacing tremendously. Even with the final film which was to tie up loose ends, the narrative remain frustratingly inconclusive.
Is it superficial to want to see a story resolve its plotlines rather than waffle inconclusively?
Yes, I also consider budget not to play a role in the disgust that I felt after completing Eva. I've watched Rah once before Eva, didn't quite appreciate it, and when I did it again after Eva, it all came in it's place, and it's so much more consistent and "understandable". It's not that it's too smart for me, the end of eva was just plain bad. Rah had such a sharp and brutal end, that's infinitely logical and absolute. Much better done than Eva with less action, proving my point about budget...
"Is it superficial to want to see a story resolve its plotlines rather than waffle inconclusively? "
Good point... however wasant 2001 a space oddessy the same way?, and it is agreed by many people that the sequel "2010 the year we return" only cheapens everything by revealing more.
True. But in the case of 2001, the audience was already built up towards the expectation of a slow-moving and thinky piece - the bit with the apes in the beginning, and the thrown bone becoming a spaceship are prime examples. There was no action-packed setup. Eva, in contrast, did have a setup of being a straightforward (if unconventional) action series. Going from "scared boy forced into horrible situation" to "existentialist discourse" is tonally inconsistent.
yeas also true, however in the case of NGE, it was anno's intention to go from your standard giant mech anime and evolve it into what it is, hence episode 18 onward, he couldent just do a straight up "thinky piece", he wouldent have the same type's of fans, he made this series to be apealing for the average otaku.... im sure an aproach like the one taken from Serial experiments lain would have seem more "consistent".
Anno's no cubric :P, as talented as he may be. The entire production time of NGE was turbulent for anno as well as rewarding, he was definitely in a different state of mind at the time.... have you heard of rebuild?
Had it been Lain-like all the way through, I'd have been much more accepting. Sadly, it wasn't, hence I (mockingly) rage. Perhaps I ought to try some antipsychotics and watch EoE again? :P
Yes, I have seen rebuild. I won tickets to see the first one as it was released in North America. 1.0 was a rehash (albeit one I particularly enjoyed), but 2.0 (which is radically different) is apparently amazing. I will watch it , and see when it's released.
Okay you've got a lot of Eva fans with you on that one but I disagree. This song beats Komm Susser Tod (I find that song is a bit of an acquired taste IMO) and its not even the best track on the soundtrack.
@Kajujuu Which song do you prefer on the album??? I thought "Everything you've ever dreamed" should have been on the album instead of "Thanatos" but I do love the whole album esp. the song where Asuka was defeated by the other Evas.
Hey! I meant that la maladie is not the best song on the rahxephon album but it still trumps Komm susser tod. I cant really answer your question when it comes to which album because i liked decisive battle and the beast i think its called. I like everything you've ever dreamed of though :)
:'' D this is my dreams come true!!! Ilove this sound track, but when I looked I could never get a copy!!! Best anime Sound tract ever!!

翻遍了整個網絡,只找到一兩個La, la Maladie du Sommeil 的TV原聲版(沒有背景的樂器聲),卻是無法想象的不堪入耳。如果有的話,敬請上載吧。

Wonderful song up until 1:15. I've always hated those parts, and they always ruined the song for me ):

I thought the whispering part fit the song pretty well. It creates a mysterious mood for the track.
