Market research must be behind this ad. Subtly the message seems to be about being non-conformist.. rebellious even(!) if only in a light unobtrusive way.

And part surely had to do w/ appealing to middle aged males who can finally afford such a 'fine' car,& remember Yes w/ some fondness. (They prob had a version featuring AC/DC or some such group. Same difference, selling cars.) An appeal to 40/50-somethings who like to see themselves as distinquished in some 'fashion'.

Thanks for posting. There are two version of this commercial (I have them both). The other version isn't as Yes-friendly as this one. I've been reluctant to post them because I've had a couple of ASIA videos pulled down by BMG or whomever has the power.  A third strike, if I understand correctly, would freeze my account, and all of my Yes videos would be dropped. Maybe I should post the other Cad-Yes video on a new account. Thanks again for posting.

My Favorite Band Of All Time has been immortalized in a Cadillac commercial! All Yes fans are heretofore ordered to go out and buy a Cadillac NOW, in gratitude for the Cadillac corporation showing such EXTREMELY good taste in music!!! HOO-rah!
