my asus 701 PwNZ 900 mhz celeron has more power than the intel atom any day in raw clock cycles ..plus intel GMA 500 SUX for gameing ,,SSD on vaio P is a runcore SSD runs at 82 mbps .. intell turbo ssd on my 701.... 148 mbps .asus 701 hauls chek it out!

@ihateyaacov This laptop is GREAT for high school, although if your on a tight budget &need a pc fast buy a w for around ~$500 or if you got $600 go to newegg, they have the Vaio p 1.33 xp, 80gb hd, and the Verizon 3g. newegg allows 12 month no interest payments, ~$50 a month!!!

The Sony VAIO P is a notebook. It has Solid State Drive and Wi-Fi. It works just like a notebook.

anywho, great review. I was at BB the other day thinking of picking one up, but the sales guy told me they are not restocking, something about Sony is coming out with a

redesign or better feature. I guess this one really suck, alot of people are complaining how crappy it is to run Vista on slow Atom.  Heck even UK gets the 1.6/1.8, but the States only gets 1.3 version?

Oh, after some googling, it turns out that in Japan they had already drop the price by couple hundreds and they are offering in an XP as an option too.

Will have to wait a month to see what will come out this unit...very disappointed that Apple did not release a netbook this week..grrr
