The Patriot act even covers purchases/abuse of prescription drugs. I noticed this when going to a Target store to buy a small prescription. There is a penalty under the Patriot Act for abusing or illegaly obtaining prescription drugs.

The Patriot Act is being put on steroids with hardly a peep of protest. The "Defense Authorization Act" now before Congress would give presidents virtually limitless power to single-handedly make wars or imprison people. This is the biggest formal transfer of power in the US government since the drafting of its Constitution. This undoes the American War for Independence.

The Big problem with Rand Paul is that he wants "Right to Work" laws to be passed all over the country. "Right To WorK" is a misleading phrase which really means ANTI UNION. @rcoones102 I agree with you, but there is a flip side to unions that actually allows them to attain dictatorial powers: to tell employers and employees what they can and cannot do. Take the teachers unions for example. They pull money from their teachers at will, control the educational curricula of most public schools, and they lobby government to pass laws that grants them even more power and gives them even more handouts. So we need a middleground where both businesses and unions are fair.
I love it how he explains it to the other Senators like their 6 year olds. Rand is so well spoken. He came to one of our events back in '08 and was flirting with running for Senate. I was really impressed, not only with his speaking, but he backs it up with action. Once he gets that fire in his belly he will have a good shot at the White House.

The patriot act is just another extension of title 50 AKA trading with the neemy act circa 1917 and revised under the emergency banking act of 1933. If you're looking for a needle in a haystack the last thing you need is more hay. We need quality data to find terrorists not just more data. The Patriot Act is an asinine piece of legislation. It should never have been enacted. We must get rid of it immediately in the interest of freedom and our national security.

The Patriot Act is being put on steroids with hardly a peep of protest. The "Defense Authorization Act" now before Congress would give presidents virtually limitless power to single-handedly make wars or imprison people. This is the biggest formal transfer of power in the US government since the drafting of its Constitution. This undoes the American War for Independence.
Anyone who votes to extend the Patriot Act should expect to pack their bags in 2012.

Trade unions are fair and adhere to the open market. The employer can always refuse to sign the contract and hire non union for less. Trade unions have higher skill levels and are worth more. Employers would love to defang construction unions and beat back wages and benefits to control working conditions. Corporations are dictatorial they hate dealing with unions that try and get good conditions and fair treament...not on the plan of rapacious capitalism. Rand Paul is wrong on right to work

The Big problem with Rand Paul is that he wants "Right to Work" laws to be passed all over the country. "Right To WorK" is a misleading phrase which really means ANTI UNION. This gives the Employers the upper hand when dealing with labor. It drives down wages, it give them more dictatorial power over us....Wrong!!!! Rand you are Wrong!!

@rcoones102 I agree with you, but there is a flip side to unions that actually allows them to attain dictatorial powers: to tell employers and employees what they can and cannot do. Take the teachers unions for example. They pull money from their teachers at will, control the educational curricula of most public schools, and they lobby government to pass laws that grants them even more power and gives them even more handouts. So we need a middleground where both businesses and unions are fair.

I love it how he explains it to the other Senators like their 6 year olds. Rand is so well spoken. He came to one of our events back in '08 and was flirting with running for Senate. I was really impressed, not only with his speaking, but he backs it up with action. Once he gets that fire in his belly he will have a good shot at the White House.

The patriot act is just another extension of title 50 AKA trading with the neemy act circa 1917 and revised under the emergency banking act of 1933. The People are the terrorists to the federal government always have always will be cause after all, if they were doing there Job obeying the original constitution they would have nothing to worry about. IE we would be a sovereign People with only the common law being used on us in all courts. Not a court martial then an equity for the fine.

Truth be told That Judge has not authority to make any decision on any amednment because of the clause in amending amendments forbids changing any amendment pre 1808. The bill of rights was drafted and entered before that date up till the 12th amendment. The bill of rights was not entered in to law via an act of congresss there for he has not authority tto repeal it or interperate it. Its called a "writ of quo warrento" HE HAS BY DEFINITION COMITTED TREASON IN AN OPEN COURT OF LAW. USC T18 S2381
