@Poolprayers take it easy kiddo..we just talk and write some comments..im the first guy who said "amazing" to this video..so nobody is bulshitting here..we all know both playing drums and communicating each other..you just have to learn to take it easy.this is "the problem".
@tw101abi Thanks for writing back.. We're cool! Sometimes, the written word is misinterpreted. And let me just say, I was supporting what YOU said about Dave's original pattern. Anyway, If youlike funk and R&B ...check out my friend's new band -Project Hornz doing 3 Tower of Power songs youtube.com/watch?v=QWkHhzmHW48
I watched David play it a year or so ago and he played it quite differently from the original recording that I learned it from. Change happens. Check out my version if you would be so kind. Thanks
@stevehynes1 we all practiced every paper of funky beat future sounds and finally code of funk..i meant no offence but it seems that i was misunderstood..here watch it and you say david that "the book i it is not like that:)"
@tw101abi YOU KNOW...YOU maybe Correct when you say ORIGINAL pattern because David has saidt hat he has played the patterns a little differently over the years. I, also, have his transcriptions So there is need to slam a comment!
@stevehynes1 Steve, Don't get me wrong...You sound very good. I know a few world class drummers who cannot HEAR exactly what David does or what other great drummers for that matter. But my point about slamming a comment relates ...If world class drummers cannot hear what is EXACTLY being played all the time then it is understandable that the Beginners/ Advanced players will not also. So, I say, let's be a lil considerate to this point when explaining what we do. Thanks Steve!
@Poolprayers everybody pls calm down..if everyone knows about garibaldi and his books we all know he loves to lay the right hand pattern which is 1st 3rd and 4th sixteens of 1st beat and 2nd and 3rd beat of the 2nd beat what here steve did at 3rd and 4th beat of every 2 bars..
we all know over years it has changed..so what is the problem?
Its funny how you only respond to the posts that kiss your ass. Unsubscribing now.....

Hi Tim, thanks. I learnt it from the transcription in the David Garibaldi book "The Funky Beat".
